The Price of Salvation - my illustration

🥰 Shalom everyone in Blurt!

I thank God the Father for the breath that He has extended to us this day in His mercy to us through Jesus Christ!

Today I heard a song in my heart that is dedicated to the memories of the suffering of the Lord Jesus on the cross of Calvary. There on the mountain, in deep pain and agony, with the deepest sense of terrible loneliness and humiliation, Jesus Christ was accomplishing my salvation - and I am sure that I have no idea how difficult the act of redemption was for Him, although I easily accept this heavenly gift.

Only the Almighty Father could do this - to give His only Son on the altar to redeem the nations for Himself through His death and resurrection. When I imagine the mutilated body of Jesus, I feel all earthly and bodily ties become weaker, but Heaven is drawing near and the True Light begins to shine where it was dark.

I would very much like to have no suffering, but even in it I find my God's comfort. His suffering strengthens my weak human soul, in which there is still so much of me and so little of God.

If the Lord had not been with me, my soul would have long since settled in the land of silence (Psalm 93:17).

Reflecting on this, I also want to share with you a picture that the Lord painted in my heart, and I captured it on a digital canvas as best I could. I called it: «The Price of Salvation».

I pray to the Lord that today His presence may become so tangible for all of us, as if He were putting His hand on our hearts and filling them with a sense of eternal bliss and peace!
