The Eden Garden within me - my illustration

🥰 Shalom everyone in Blurt!

I thank God for His grace and mercy poured out on us through His Son Jesus Christ!

How we wish life today were like the Garden of Eden, where Adam and Eve were able to fully enjoy the beauty and gifts of God's presence. Yet even though the world became full of pain and suffering after the fall into sin, God found a Way to bring us back to His Eden, the name of the Way of salvation being Jesus Christ.

While fleeing from his enemies in the Judean desert, King David came to the Lord with a prayer on his lips, asking God to quench his thirst. David still thirsted for God, longed to see His glory, longed for God's mercy more than for life.

Even at night, when he lay on his bed, David, in his constrained circumstances, remembered God and all the works He had done in his life. It was as if the door to the Garden of Eden opened in his soul, and he felt saturated with oil , and his mouth was filled with joy. It no longer mattered whether he was in the royal palace or in the wilderness, he drank from the spring of God. How small and powerless his enemies were after God's satiation, David now saw them descending into the underworld of the earth, slain by the sword, the prey of foxes.

Jesus Christ changes the way I look at this life, too. When the wilderness suddenly bursts into my life - the only anchor is not my ability to change anything around me, but the power of God that is within me. The Holy Spirit inspired me to create a new illustration that I called "The Eden Garden within me."

"We are oppressed from everywhere, but we are not constrained; we are in desperate circumstances, but we do not despair; we are persecuted, but we are not forsaken; we are deposed, but we do not perish. We always carry the deadness of the Lord Jesus in our bodies, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our bodies. For we who are alive are continually being put to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our mortal flesh..." 2 Corinthians 4:8-11

I bless you that you may not despair in tight circumstances, but that at this time the Garden of Eden, which is Jesus Christ, may be indwelt within you.

JESUS CHRIST! YES AND AMEN!
