🥰 Shalom everyone in Blurt!
Thank you Jesus Christ for His boundless love for us as we draw from the springs of living water! Come and drink!
I love the phrase that Joyce Meyer often uses in her sermons: “I am not yet where I should be, but I am not where I was before. Through these words God has greatly encouraged me when I was in a long waiting period and had not yet seen the fulfillment of God's promises in the visible world.
The best part is that in this waiting, I began to get to know God for real. I can't tell you how much He opened my eyes to hidden things. From a human perspective, everything that was happening in my life looked like I had been thrown into a pit. But in reality, the unremarkable pit was a treasure trove of God's glory.
And it is so closely intertwined with what Scripture says about God-knowledge:
Stop and know that I am God: I will be exalted in the nations, exalted in the earth. Psalms 45:11
The Holy Spirit shows me that every anointed one of God had to submit to Him in stopping before serving and fulfilling the mission. Under such conditions God began His work within the barren Abraham and made him the father of many nations, the rejected Joseph became the source of sustenance for all, the fugitive Moses was used to save God's people. And these are only a small fraction of the people who can be exemplified.
I bless you that you may have the wisdom to stop before God and find in this a great benefit for your soul spirit and body!
Thank God for the “stop”! Though I am not yet where I should be, I am no longer where I was before!
JESUS GOD! YES AND AMEN!
