🥰 Shalom everyone in Blurt!
Thank You Jesus for the grace He has poured out on us in this new day!
When I woke up today and asked God to guide me in prayer and give me a word of comfort, He led me through His green pastures and still waters and brought me to Psalm 69 and 72. How not easy it is to submit to God in longsuffering, not easy to feel pressured and not to try to fix things in our own strength as we used to.... The soul cries out: "Make haste, O God, to deliver me, make haste, O Lord, to help me."
"Make haste, O God..." - that's what my new painting is about.
Let it be to God's children and their enemies according to David's prayer. May the seeking souls of God's children be put to shame. May those who wish God's children evil be turned back and mocked. Let them be turned back for reviling the children of God, those who say: "Good! Good!" Let all who seek Him and love His salvation rejoice and be glad for Jesus Christ, and let them say continually: "Great is God!".
I love the fact that king David was not ashamed to realise before God how helpless, worthless and empty he was. He called out to God for help like a little child calls out to his father. God is so favourable to those who trust not in their eloquent prayers, nor in the list of their good works, but in Jesus Christ alone. Jesus Christ is the answer for those who suffer!
But the lawless will not be envied, even if they are like fat sheep today, even if their rivers are full of milk and honey, even if they have all the wealth, power and glory on earth.... As Asaph said in Psalm 72, seeing their end one can only be horrified.
May your long-suffering trust in God be crowned with the glory of Jesus Christ!
JESUS LORD! YES AND AMEN!
