🥰 Shalom everyone in Blurt!
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Heaven!
Today I felt prompted to pray the Psalms, and this time God gave me prayer through Psalm 74. I especially focused my attention on verse 4:
The earth and all that dwell therein shall be shaken: I will establish its pillars. Psalms 74:4
I asked God to strengthen the pillars of our souls because they so often waver from anxiety and fear of apparent circumstances. And this is the word with which the Lord comforted me, these words are recorded in the book of Ephesians 2:19-22 verses:
Therefore you are no longer strangers and aliens, but fellow citizens with the saints, and fellow citizens with God, having been established on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, having Jesus Christ Himself as the cornerstone, on which the whole building, being built up, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, on which you also are being built into the dwelling place of God by the Spirit.
Ephesians 2:19-22
It speaks of confirmation as the finished work of Jesus Christ in us and of building as the process that God is now working out within us. And how much splendour there is in this building!
The frightening thoughts of the devil brought confusion to my soul, which made me lose sight of God's magnificent processes by which my soul is being built up by God Himself! The process of creation is so slow..... And how often the soul languishes in it! The soul languishes because in the visible world it does not see the fulfilment of God's promises. But as one pastor said, for porridge to be cooked and savoury, you put it on a low heat and it begins to languish under a lid. That's what God is doing now.
As I reflect on this, I want to share with you my new drawing which I have titled «I need you, Jesus...».
Thank you Jesus Christ for the comfort you have poured out on us! Even though we do not understand so many things and it is as if we are walking in darkness, you are the Light for our eyes!
JESUS LORD! YES AND AMEN!
