Thanks be to our Lord Jesus Christ for His abundant love with which He waters us in each new day, just as He watered the Garden of Eden!
I thank God for His warm visits, which give me a sense of indescribable depth of peace and joy like nothing else in this world! Then my soul sings: “God, You are so Good to me! You are so Good!”.
It is this song that resounds in my heart today, and remembering the sacrifice of Jesus Christ increases my sense of gratitude. After all, only God could love us so much that He would give His life for us, to save us and not destroy us.
I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. John 10:11
David, in his Psalms, described the magnitude of this love so beautifully:
Not according to our iniquities hath He done unto us, neither hath He recompensed us according to our sins: for as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is the mercy of the Lord toward them that fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our iniquities from us; as a father is merciful to his sons, so the Lord is merciful to them that fear Him. For He knows our composition, He remembers that we are a feather. Man's days are like grass; like the flower of the field, so he blooms. A wind passes over him, and he is gone, and his place recognizes him no more. But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting to them that fear him, and his righteousness is upon the sons of sons, who keep his covenant, and remember his commandments to do them. Psalms 102:10-18
