The Chemical Brothers is an electronic music/EDM duo from the early 1990s that still produces music to this day. The band was instrumental in their popularization of electronic music during the early to mid-1990s, and help bring music with larger than life beats to the forefront of popular culture. Their music became popular in movies and helped inspire many more EDM and electronic music to thrive.
The Chemical Brothers was founded in the UK in 1992, and the band has been dropping beats and creating positive and deep EDM and electronic music for almost four decades now. The band is famous for their songs "Block Rocking Beats" and "Brothers Gonna Work it Out" which were popular in television and movies in the mid -1990s and early 2000s. Many action movie sequences from the mid to late 1990s featured music from either the Crystal Method of the Chemical Brothers. The Chemical Brothers picked up the concept of the powerful backbeat and added clips and samples from Funk songs to create their own signature sound. Like many Hip Hop artists of the era, The Chemical Brothers made samples into striking beats and additions to their songs that made them stand out.
The rise in popularity of EDM in the mid-2010s was in part possible because of this band. Dropping electronic beats and larger than life beats set to a progressive track is a big part of The Chemical Brothers' sound. In modern times, The Chemical Brothers are still releasing tracks, and produced the music from the movie Hanna in 2011. I enjoy both The Chemical Brothers and the band The Crystal Method and enjoyed their music in the mid-1990s. I wasn't as much a fan of darker electronic music during the era, and enjoyed the funky remixed beats and sound of both bands. Their was a distinct schism between gothic electronic music and progressive Funk-inspired tracks that I will touch on later that occured at the tail end of the 1990s.
My Rising Star Report 9/2/2024:
Still at it after almost two years, and still loving the game. I will continue to conduct music lessons with the expressed intent of lowering my ego score so that I can increase my Starbits claims. It's a big deal to keep your ego in check, and I plan on pursuing more music lessons until I feel confident of this fact.
