When I was a little girl my mom bought me a turquoise face cloth with a little bear holding a flower sewn onto it. It read “You make the world a brighter place just by being in it”. Though I cannot recall what happened to it now, I hung on to that face cloth for many, many years. It was incredibly precious to me. A bit of a lost and broken soul from a pretty young age, I hung on tightly to the little diamonds of love and appreciation which life and those close offered, and that trait has never left me.
I love writing, yes I do. Always have, always will - and I would like to believe that somewhere amidst my many rambles which I share with all of you, that at least a few of the words shared are so relatable to someone that they stop and think about their own situation or that they make them realise that in this life with all of its challenges, they are never really alone because there is always someone out there who has been through something similar and last but definitely not least, I hope that some of the food I cook and share makes a few of you salivate, lol!
I know I have said this before many times, but I will say it again. I began writing as a personal form of healing, acceptance and release. It has been a journey of many years already and I know there are still plenty to come. No doubt there are more than a handful of people who wish I would just be fixed already, so I could stop waffling on about all my baggage haha! Nonetheless and no matter - I am still broken and trying to piece myself together like a kintsugi vase, lol - so, you are stuck with me and my internal meanderings for the moment!
There is nothing more rewarding to any kind of creative than for their work to be appreciated by those around them, so speaking of “precious moments” which I hold close to my heart - I just wanted to write this as a show of my gratitude and appreciation to @outofthematrix for the 50k delegation which I have received for the month of March. It was such a wonderful surprise to get on a Friday evening. Well, it would have been a lovely surprise on any evening, but you know what I mean! I will do my utmost to share it with other fabulous content creators here on Blurt as much as possible!
Writing is such a beautiful, but personal journey and in a world and society which puts many of us under so much pressure - it is wonderful to see more and more people gravitating toward self-expression through written word! I hope that trend continues because it is more powerfully positive than we could ever give it credit for adequately.
