The tour starts behind IKEA in Bergen. Doesn't that sound promising? Think twice. This beautiful area of small mountains has escaped the development of the greater Åsane area and is one of my favorite places for a quick and spectacular hike. Also check out "Veten" on my wikiloc: another fantastic trip to this area. This trip will take you 3 hours if it is full of many things that Western Norway has to offer tourists: beautiful farms, spectacular lakes, rugged moors, high altitudes and, finally, nothing else, at least the view of the fjords.

From the Baugtveit car park, take a scenic route and follow the farm. The trail goes up to the lake and continues through the pines. After 10 minutes, you will come to a covered hill. Take the path to the right and go up Høgstefjellet. The fall is small, so in the spring, this part is covered in one of the mountains near Åsane. It's amazing how close this small remote valley is to the spread of the city. Park your car in the designated parking lot (parking lot) in front of the hamlet of Baugveit and start walking along the road. Follow it until the wide road leads to the side of the red building.

Follow it and reach the pool. Here the path narrows and enters a pine forest with mountain slopes. Cross the forest, climb the Televikkafjellet mountain and enjoy the view of Knarvik and Lindås. Enjoy the last climb up the mountain again. There you can also admire the islands of Sotra, Askøy and Holsnøy. From here, the trail descends back to Baugveit and choose a leisurely walk through one of the beautiful valleys of the Bergen region. Just a few miles from the highway, it's almost unbelievable that this area has escaped "development." The beginning of the walk is a bit tricky: you have to cross the field behind Jordalsveien 322 to reach the old road going up.

After about five minutes, you will pass the ruins of an old building on your left. Continue a bit until the path splits and you reach a pine forest. The "flat" path crosses a muddy area above many trees and turns left behind a barbed wire (to join a busy road for about 10 minutes: follow it to the right and if you want to come this way). However, I did a little, walking in the forest and passing under the power line. Don't be discouraged: you will reach the right path after about 10 minutes. Now for the interesting part: you leave the forest and enter an alpine meadow with a spectacular view of the valley below. Enjoy the views and visit Stallane, an ancient mountain tower that was inhabited until the mid-1950s.

The house serves as a refreshment on many weekends: if the flag is flying (you can see it from the bottom of the valley), it is open. After Stallane, the path begins to descend slowly, along an old dry stone wall. Before he knew it, he entered another pine tree and zigzagged along the valley floor. Literally, walking in the park... in the city of Bergen. And even without the added benefit of stopping the city tour with a latte or beer, this trip is already awesome on its own. The Ulriken Cable Car takes you to the start and offers a spectacular view of Bergen's tower and the sea beyond. At one point above Vidden, there was almost no upside.

The first part of the journey takes you through the flat tundra with snow-capped mountains in the background. In the middle there is a small descent but it goes down to the lake Svartediket. We go up to the Rundemanen TV tower and pass Floyen. The landscape now has old fir trees and blueberry undergrowth. If you still have energy around Floyen, you can visit the historic Bryggen village on your own. However, taking the funicular is the best option now… A nice walk after work or after a visit to the city center. The terrain is simple and covered in open forest, offering views of the sea and the mountains of Ulriken.

Nubbevatnet has a nice picnic area and there is even a house at the end of the lake that appears to be open late (google Baunehytten). The second route leads you on a very difficult and pleasant path through the pine forest. One of the 7 mountains (syvvfjell) of Bergen and easily accessible from the city center. An oasis of peace and quiet: park your car (or get off the bus) at Melkeplassen, walk about 100 meters up the hill, take the trail and leave the world behind. The sound of the road disappears and is replaced by the sound of a flowing stream. In total, this route represents about 300 meters of high gain, but you hardly notice it. The road gradually climbs (except for a small
