Hey Blurtians! Welcome back, today I'd like to show you the process of a watercolor painting that I made based off of an album cover!
I made it about a year ago, along with other sketchbook/watercolor paintings that I compile in this post, although with this one, I remembered to take pictures of the process, haha! 😅

I was inspired by the Camila Cabello's album cover "Liar". If the name "Camila Cabello" doesn't ring a bell, she is best known for her ridiculously famous song "Havana" which I'm sure you've heard somewhere at some point.
The one thing that challenged me with this painting was getting that yellow-ish filter/old paper vibe that you see in the album cover.
Most of my paintings begin with a rough pencil outline to figure out the proportions..
Color time!
With watercolor, I often like to use a ballpoint pen to sharpen things up a little and to give it a pop!
Then, the sketchbook sketch that took me three days, is finished! ❤️

Thank you for reading my post, I hope you enjoyed it and I wish you a woderful day, weekend and new year! ❤️

Lovely drawing @jadeaca! I have heard of Camila Cabello before and her "ridiculously famous" song "Havana". I remember listening to it when I was younger, messing up the lyrics to make others laugh. It's the little moments that count too. Keep up the good work!
