"Don't follow digital media!'' If I had to summarize its story in one sentence, I would use this phrase for the Russian film Vtorzhenie, released in 2020.

The Russian sci-fi sci-fi film, although it looks like an alien invasion, in reality it points to an unknown force controlled by artificial intelligence that thinks it maintains intergalactic balance.

This artificial intelligence species has a problem with Earth because Yulya Lebedeva, who lives on Earth, possesses an as yet unknown but developing superhuman power. Before the power controlled by the AI, Yulya is being experimented on and held captive to serve humanity.

First of all, I can say that the movie is very successful in the sci-fi genre. The movie feels sci-fi at every moment, and as the story progresses, the momentum of the genre goes up and satisfies the audience. After the movie is over, you think that you are really watching a sci-fi movie and that the genre has been given its due.

I can easily say that the screenwriter and director did the movie justice. In terms of actor performances, I saw the same success line I have seen in Russian productions in Vtorzhenie. In the Russian films I watch, even if I don't like the fiction, the actor performances are above average, and mostly reach the success line.

Instead of the theme of aliens trying to invade the earth, the movie focuses on the destruction of a person they think might be a threat to them on earth. In this respect, it differs from similar productions I have seen and puts itself in a different category.

The production, which was a great pleasure to watch, was also very successful in terms of story progression. The way the characters reflect their roles adds to the pleasure of watching. The line "I have a house, I have a job, I have a garden" used frequently throughout the movie by the character who comes from another galaxy and tries to live on earth was, in my opinion, the most enjoyable and funny moments of the movie. The line she uses to indicate her adaptation to the world is a candidate for the best line in any movie I've seen recently!

Irina Vladimirovna Starshenbaum, who played the character of Yulya Lebedeva, was the best actress in the movie. Although the other actresses who played the other characters were also successful, the actress managed to be my favorite. She perfectly portrays the fear and uncertainty she experiences when she doesn't realize the power she has.

If you haven't seen it yet, I recommend watching Vtorzhenie, especially for sci-fi fans. I can say that it is one of the productions that I think should be watched with its fiction and effects. It is definitely worth the time spent, despite the eeriness of the final scenes, for some reason I did not have an attitude towards artificial intelligence in this movie. I guess that's my weirdness while watching the movie!

Thank you for being here and reading. I hope I have given you a preliminary idea about the movie. I wish everyone who will watch it a good time. Hope to see you in my next article, goodbye!
