The movie The Bikeriders, based on the documentary photography book of the same name, was excellent in terms of reflecting the period it belonged to and the performances of the actors.

While witnessing the birth and rise of a motorcycle club in 1960s America, I must say that I admired the way the passion for motorcycles was portrayed.

The production also reveals the fact that every rise has a fall, and details the moments when a journey that starts innocently and romantically turns into a criminal organization.

Through the narration of the character Kathy (played by Jodie Comer) and the in-depth examination of her life, the film successfully reflects the Chicago of the 1960s.

Through the character of Kathy's husband Benny (played by Austin Butler), the film shows the passion for motorcycles and the dangers they pose.

If I have to confess, I can say that I felt the passion for motorcycles in my bones, which I had never used before and was not even curious about.

My favorite actor in the movie is Johnny (played by Tom Hardy), the founder of the club and a very dangerous man. The way he portrays danger is definitely worth seeing and his charisma was his most important plus in successfully portraying his role.

Tom Hardy has a charisma that I think is a rare opportunity for crime movies!

In addition to successfully reflecting a nostalgic period, the conflict between individuals, the way the sense of belonging is handled and the use of crime-ridden streets were other factors that made the production successful. The romantic scenes interspersed with all of this take the story to a whole new level.

Kathy and Benny's love is depicted in the romantic scenes and Benny's passion for motorcycles and his bond with the club, which is shown as the biggest obstacle in front of them, is perfectly portrayed. You can sympathize with Benny in decisions that would normally be seen as absurd because of his passion, because his passion for motorcycles is handled and reflected very successfully in a way that is hard to explain.

The fact that the action scenes are limited and the anger of the characters is emphasized strengthens the sense of reality in the movie. Thanks to the strong performances of the actors and the nostalgic atmosphere created, it is not difficult to get into the story and you can feel the human emotions in the staged moments.

How big can a motorcycle club with a few people get? The film certainly answers this question and more, and perfectly captures the passion for motorcycles of the people who made their mark in an era, making the fine line between the dangerous life they risked and the life they gave up so clear that we can see it.

I would say it was artistic for the motorcycle narrative alone. With the other elements added to this, you should definitely watch The Bikeriders. In the movie, you have to witness the power-oriented show of more than one character.

And Kathy, whose only goal is to live a normal life with her husband, was admirable in her efforts.
