In what has been a joyous devious by the Supreme Court, bump stocks on AR-15's have been re-legalized after a decision made during Trump's presidency. This was seen as being a limiting factor for certain weapons and was broadly denounced by Second Amendment Rights groups.
Bump stocks are attached to the back end of an AR-15 to make the unit produce almost an automatic stream of fire. Several tragic shootings prompted lawmakers to ban bump stocks and other technologies that make semiautomatic weapons more like automatic weapons.
The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution calls for the right to bear arms and to regulate militias. It is important to protect this part of the Bill of Rights so Americans can be free. Continually moving the goalposts and limiting how firearms can be manufactured and modified can erode our Second Amendment.
The Supreme Court did the right thing here in their 7-2 decision. Let's keep the court conservative and move forward as the election comes. Supreme Court members can serve for life, so their election is more important than that of the President of the United States.
