Hi. I hope everyone in this community is enjoying their life with family and friends. Today I am going to share with you a beautiful scene that happen in my home but it ends not well.
Few days before a beautiful butterfly came and sit on a lemon plant in my house. She laid an egg which I and my family members were not aware of. After few days, I saw a caterpillar on lemon plant leaves and I realized why butterfly came here.
The above photo was taken after I saw this caterpillar. It started moving towards the leave of the plant and first time in my life, I saw with my eyes how caterpillar eats leaves by moving myself close to it as much as possible.
I was unable to took photo of that scene but I saw it with my eyes. I told my mother about this and my younger brother. My mother later told to my father but he said to kill it because it is not a butterfly early process stage. My mother convience my father that it is a real caterpillar that will soon turn to butterfly.
We were taking care of it during winters by putting clothes on the wire above that lemon plant. But maid in my house mistakenly throw water on the plants but fortunately, caterpillar was safe. I asked her to not throw water on the plants but only pour water in the plant pot.
After few days, it started making a shell around it and it was the time it was turning to chrysalis or pupa. It was the time if it succeed in that shell making, it could become a fully big butterfly within 2 weeks.
But my father and maid said it multiple times to kill it because it is eating the leaves. I asked my mother leaves are providing us anything? Then why should we not let this caterpillar eat it and grow into a butterfly. But still my father wanted to kill it and my maid also said it is not a caterpillar.
That sad day came and this caterpillar fall down. My mother again put it on the leaves but it fall down again in night. It dead at that night and it really made me sad that everyone was trying to kill it and now it is dead. No one wants to see this beautiful process of our creator Allah Almighty that how a larva turns to big beautiful butterfly. I have decided now to not tell anyone if this happens again so that other caterpillar will turn to butterfly.
