In what I'd a shocking but predictabile outcome, bacterial has been observed mutating and evolving in the International Space Station.

This could be a problem or a natural consequence of working in space that astronauts will need to account for in the future. The ISS is a laboratory, and disinfection protocols can and will be implemented to address bactetial contamination.

Life mutated and evolves to fit it's environment, and the lack of gravity and new niche of a space station adrift in space could be a fertile ground for evolution. Pathogens evolve, and I am not immediately concerned. Disinfection protocols should be created to ensure new and novel pathogens are addressed, especially those which could cause harm to people with weakened immune systems.
