Peerhub+Blurt integration is now done, kinda ;)

In case you haven't heard, we have been integrating Blurt with the Peerhub streaming software. Blurt is front-and-center, the default for when users login to a Peerhub-powered site such as vigilante.tv, cast.garden, flatearthdavetv, peerflix, etc. Peerhub-powered sites get Millions of views, so that should give Blurt a boost once those sites and hundreds of others install the latest version of Peerhub.

This is the last post of a serious of 5 posts, to keep the Blurt community informed on our progress. The first post was here. The second was here. The third was here. The fourth, most recent post was here.

The Blurt integration with Peerhub was broken up into 2 Phases. This first Phase has been completed and we are half way through Phase 2 already.

Phase 2 includes some UI and UX enhancements, edge-case tweaks, and a couple things mentioned by the Blurt Foundation that made a lot of sense, so I'm integrating those as well. I still want to expand on the Peerhub "About" page, add network-aggregated notifications, enable Subscribing/Following other users (regardless of which network they use (Blurt, mastodon, lemmy, hive, nostr, etc)), and finally, make it so that you cannot see WHO voted on a post until you have voted on the post yourself; I'd like to stop the boot-lickers from just upvoting a post because they see that a whale upvoted it. That's really disgusting imo.

Aaaanyway, ever since we released the first Beta of Peerhub+Blurt, there are already hundreds of website owners out there who are installing it:

NPMjs.com

By the way...

We also run a Witness Node for the Blurt blockchain so PLEASE consider voting for us! Our node is called "agorise-witness"

December should be a HUGE month for Blurt. We have another surprise coming for Blurt in a few days, so stay tuned! We're in the Blurt chatroom on matrix if you'd like to chat:

Please follow our work and help us spread the word! 🙏

and finally, make it so that you cannot see WHO voted on a post until you have voted on the post yourself;

And that's the point, everyone should vote on their own posts. By voting for your own posts on Hive you are treated like a thief and a criminal. Aside from downvotes, that's the second thing that annoyed me there.

I appreciate you working to get Blurt noticed and integrated.
"make it so that you cannot see WHO voted on a post until you have voted on the post yourself"
No, thank you.

ok but owner of the content can still see who voting on his post?

On block explorers and other ui's, yes.
I'll make it so if the author of the video is logged in, then he/she can see all the votes, yes.
Good point, Khrom. 💪

I see that for now there is no possibility of adding votes for videos whose settlement time has passed. If it is possible, it would be great if there was such a possibility for two reasons. The first is statistics that I think we will be able to introduce in the future and here the blockchain data on likes will be able to be implemented. For users, it is important how many people actually watch and like their materials, not only from the point of view of the reward. Basically, for serious influencers and bloggers who additionally promote a product, or for companies that promote their channel and service, the likes and views themselves are even more important than these few tokens ;)

The second issue is of course the systems of re-rewarding such as the appreciator that I am developing ;)
