Silver Bullet is the 1985 film based upon the Stephen King series about werewolves. This film has incredible special effects for the mid 1980s, and is horrific as many of King's films are.
Dino De Laurentis produced the special effects for this film. For those who don't know, Laurentis also produced the film Dune, which featured its own amazing and dark effects.
This film has a good story, and is relateable as a boy helps to solve the mystery of the lurking werewolf. I remember seeing this movie on TV, and it was horrific. The effects are akin to Dune, and the film just rolls well. If you like Storm of the Century, Dune and Sometimes They Come Back you'll love this gem.
See it for free on YouTube today. It's easy to find this film for free at the library as well.
Wasn't ever really into werewolves much. They're okay. I'll check this out sometime.
By the way, Blurtbooster likes text and images. You get a little bit higher % vote if your post is longer, and has more than 1 image. Some people like to add a banner at the end of their posts, with their name, maybe an image, maybe their profile icon. Not that we should add anything just for the sake of adding it, but just so you know how the bot works, since it's one of your main voters at the moment.
Thanks for the heads up! Yes, I like an American wearwolf in Paris and this film. American werewolf is 100x better an absolutely brutal. The final scene of the film is intense. Werewolf films are gross out films in that the effects are a greusome transformation.
