নাটকটির প্রথমেই আমরা সেটা দেখতে পেয়েছি সেটা হচ্ছে একজন নতুন বউ তার বাবা-মা এবং তার ছোট বোন তার ঘর জামাইয়ের জন্য খুবই অপেক্ষা করছে ঘরজামাই আসার একটু দেরি হলে তারা অনেকটা ঘাবড়ে যায় এবং চিন্তা করতে থাকে যে তাদের জামাই আসতে কেন এত দেরি হচ্ছে তার কিছুটা সময়ের মধ্যে ঘর জামাই এসে উপস্থিত হয়।

এবং তাদের সাথে কথোপকথন শুরু করে দেয়।

যাই হোক তোরা খুবই আনন্দ ফুর্তিতে তাদের নতুন ঘর জামাইকে বরণ করে নেয় পরের দিন সকালে তার শাশুড়ি তাকে একটা মাটির কলস দিয়ে পুকুরে পানি আনতে পাঠায়।

পানি আনতে গিয়ে তার শালিকার সাথে বিভিন্ন ধরনের হাসি-ঠাট্টা করতে থাকে আমি নাটকের লিংক দিয়ে দেব আপনারা বিস্তারিত দেখে নেবেন।

একটা পর্যায়ে যখন তারা পানি নিয়ে আসে তখন তার শালিকা এবং নতুন ঘরজামাই খরচটা নিয়ে টানাটানি শুরু করে দেয় এবং নতুন ঘরজামাইয়ের হাত থেকে কলেজটা পড়ে ভেঙে যায় এবং তারপর চিৎকার চেঁচামেচি শুরু করে দেয়।

এদিকে একটা সময় নতুন ঘরজামাই বাজার করতে গিয়েছিল বাজারে বাজার করে নিয়ে আসার সময় এসে দেখতে পায় তার শালিকা একটা ছেলের সাথে বসে কথা বলতেছে।

ঘর জামাই ওই ছেলেটাকে ডেকে নিয়ে এসে তার বউদের পরিবারের ঐতিহ্যের কথা বলে তখন ছেলেটা কিছুতেই রাজি হয় না বিয়ে করার জন্য এবং ছেলেটা ওখান থেকে চলে যায়।

এরপরে জামাই বাহির থেকে খালি গলায় গান গাইতে গাইতে আসতে থাকে হঠাৎ করে দেখতে পায় একজন উঠনের মধ্যে কাপড় রোদে দিচ্ছে সে তার বউ ভেবে তার শাশুড়িকে জড়িয়ে ধরে এমন ইন্টারেস্টিং ঘটনা ঘটে যায় যার ফলে তার বউদের সাথে ঝগড়া শুরু করে দেয়।

তাদের সংসারটা বেশ ভালই চলছিল তবে হ্যাঁ নতুন ঘরজামির একটা বদ অভ্যাস ছিল সেই বাকি খেতো সে বিয়ে করে আসার কয়েক দিন পরেই তার শ্বশুরবাড়িতে কিছু দোকানদার চলে আসে যাদের কাছ থেকে সে প্রতিনিয়ত বাকি খাওয়া শুরু করে তারা তার শ্বশুরের কাছ থেকে তাদের বাকি টাকাটা আদায় করে নিয়ে যায়।

এটা নিয়ে তাদের স্বামী স্ত্রীর মধ্যে ঝগড়া বিবাদ শুরু হয় আবার একটা সময় মিটেও যায়।

মেয়েটা খুবই আপসেট হয়ে পড়ে এবং চিন্তা করতে থাকে সে নোয়াখালীর ছেলেকে বিয়ে করবে ঘরজামাই হিসেবে গ্রহণ করে কোন ভুল করেছে কিনা আর মেয়েটার আরেকটা অভ্যাস ছিল সে কথায় কথায় নোয়াখাইল্লা বলে ছেলেটাকে অনেকটা বাজে ভাবে কথা বলতো সেই বারান্দায় বসে বসে বিষয়টা ভাবতেছিল তখন তার মা এসে তাকে বলে , কিছু বুঝে না শুনে একটা ছেলেকে বিয়ে করে নিয়ে এসেছিস এখন তার অভ্যাসের পরিবর্তন করতে হলে তাকে তো একটু সময় দিতেই হবে

ঘর জামাই আবারো বাজারে চলে যায় বাজার থেকে আসার পথে সে দেখতে পায় তার শালিকে এবং তার প্রেমিক একটা মাঠে বসে কথা বলতেছেন তখন ঘর জামাই তার শালিকে কে ডাকবে সাথে সাথে এই ছেলেটা দৌড়ে এসে ঘরজামাই এর কাছে তার বিয়ের প্রস্তাব দেয় সে বলে যে দুলাভাইয়ের কথা সে রাজি আছে সে ঘরজামাই থাকবে তখন ঘর জামাই তার বিশেষ ঐতিহ্যের কথা বলা সেটা হচ্ছে বাকি খাওয়া যেটা কিনা করতে রাজি হয় না কিন্তু ঘর জামাই বুঝিয়ে সুজিয়ে তাকে রাজি করিয়ে নেয়।

মেয়েটা ঘরের মধ্যে আয়নার সামনে বসে বসে ভাবতেছে হঠাৎ করেই ঘরজামাই ঘরের ভেতরে ঢুকে গেলাম এবং মেয়েটাকে বলল চোখ বন্ধ করার জন্য তার জন্য উপহার নিয়ে এসেছে মেয়েটা চোখ বন্ধ করে এবং ঘরজামাই তার হাতে দুটি চুরি পরিয়ে দেয় কিন্তু চুরিগুলো তার হাতের মাপের চেয়ে অনেক বড় যার কারণে তাদের মধ্যে আবারো ঝগড়া সৃষ্টি হয়।

মেয়েটা ঘর জামাই নোয়াখাইল্লা বলে যা তা বাজে কথা বলে যার ফলে ঘরজামের মনে অনেক কষ্ট হয় সে বাড়ি থেকে বের হয়েই নিরিবিলি একটা জায়গায় বসে থাকে এবং সেভাবে তার দোষ কেন ঘর জামাই হিসেবে এখানে এসেছে তারপরে মেয়েটা তার ভুল বুঝতে পারে এবং তার স্বামীর সাথে গিয়ে সম্পূর্ণ বিষয়ে আলোচনা করে নিজেদের ঝগড়া মিটিয়ে নিতে চায়।

• নাটকের মধ্যে থেকে স্ক্রিনশট নেওয়া

তবে ঘর জামাই মোটেও রাজি হয় না সে বলে সেখান থেকে চলে যাবে সে আর এখানে থাকতে চায়না এবং পরদিন সকালে সে তার লাগিস নিয়ে ঘর থেকে বের হয়।

ঘর থেকে বের হওয়ার সাথে সাথেই ঘর জামাই এর মা ওখানে একটা গাড়ি নিয়ে উপস্থিত হয় এবং দেখতে পায় বউ ছেলে অভিমান সাথে সাথেই ঘরজামের মা তাকে বলে ওঠে,

" ইরে শামসুদ্দি তুই ইয়ানে খাড়াই রইছত কিল্লাই আই তোর মা সাফিয়া বেগম,

এবং তার বউ তার ভুল বুঝতে পারে বউ তার ভুল বুঝতে স্বামীর সাথে নোয়াখালীতে আসার সিদ্ধান্ত নেয় এবং তারা অবশেষে নোয়াখালীতে চলে আসে সুন্দর একটা জীবন যাপন শুরু করে।

       # আমার মন্তব্য

নাটকটা দেখে আমি যতটুকু বুঝতে পেরেছি নাটকের মধ্যে ভালোবাসা ছিল ঝগড়া ছিল অভিমান ছিল আবার নোয়াখালীর মানুষদের ঘৃণা করার একটা কথা উল্লেখ করা হয়েছিল আবার সেই ঘৃণা থেকেই নতুন করে ভালবাসার জন্ম হয়েছিল।

এক কথায় বলতে গেলে আমার নাটকটা দেখে অনেক ভালো লেগেছে, আমি আমার পোষ্টের মধ্যেই নাটকের লিংকটা দিয়ে দেবো আপনারা চাইলে নাটকটা দেখে নিতে পারেন।

    We see it at the beginning of the play, that a new bride, her parents, and her younger sister are eagerly waiting for her son-in-law. When the son-in-law is a little late in arriving, they get very nervous and start wondering why their son-in-law is taking so long. After a while, the son-in-law arrives.

Anyway, the Tora family welcomed their new son-in-law with great joy. The next morning, his mother-in-law sent him to fetch water from the pond with a clay pitcher.

At one point, when they brought water, her sister-in-law and her new son-in-law started arguing about the cost, and the college fell apart at the hands of the new son-in-law, and then they started screaming and shouting.

Meanwhile, one day, the new son-in-law went to the market to buy groceries. When he returned home, he saw his sister-in-law sitting and talking to a boy.

When the son-in-law called the boy and told him about his wife's family traditions, the boy refused to marry her and left.

Then the son-in-law came out from outside singing in a bare voice. Suddenly, he saw a man hanging clothes in the sun in the yard. He thought she was his wife and hugged his mother-in-law. An interesting incident occurred, which led to a fight with his wife.

Their family was doing quite well, but yes, the new housemate had a bad habit of eating leftovers. A few days after he got married, some shopkeepers came to his in-laws' house, from whom he started eating leftovers constantly. They collected their leftover money from his in-laws.

This led to arguments between the husband and wife, but they eventually reconciled.

The girl became very upset and started thinking whether she had made a mistake by marrying a boy from Noakhali as her son-in-law. The girl had another habit, she used to call the boy Noakhali in a very rude manner. She was sitting on the veranda and thinking about it when her mother came and said to her, "You have married a boy without understanding anything. Now, if you want to change your habit, you will have to give him some time."

The son-in-law goes to the market again. On the way back from the market, he sees his sister-in-law and her lover sitting in a field talking. Then the son-in-law asks who will call his sister-in-law. Immediately, this boy runs up and proposes marriage to the son-in-law. He says that he agrees to the brother-in-law's words and that he will be the son-in-law. Then the son-in-law talks about his special tradition, which is eating leftovers, which he does not agree to do, but the son-in-law convinces him.

The girl was sitting in front of the mirror in the room, thinking. Suddenly, the son-in-law entered the room and told the girl that he had brought her a gift to close her eyes. The girl closed her eyes and the son-in-law put two bracelets on her hands, but the bracelets were much larger than her hands, which caused another fight between them.

The girl says bad things to her son-in-law, Noakhilla, which causes a lot of pain to the husband. He leaves the house and sits in a quiet place, wondering why it is his fault that he came here as a son-in-law. Then the girl realizes her mistake and wants to go and discuss the whole matter with her husband and settle their quarrel.

However, the housemate does not agree at all, saying that he will leave, that he does not want to live here anymore, and the next morning he leaves the house with his luggage.

As soon as he left the house, the son-in-law's mother arrived there in a car and saw the wife and son in law. Immediately, the son-in-law's mother said to him,

"Hey Shamsuddi, you were standing there, your mother Safia Begum, I am here."
And his wife realizes her mistake. The wife decides to come to Noakhali with her husband to realize her mistake and they finally move to Noakhali and start living a beautiful life.

   # আমার মন্তব্য

As far as I understood from watching the play, there was love, there was quarrel, there was pride, and there was also a mention of hating the people of Noakhali, and from that hatred, a new love was born.
