অনেকে বিয়ের প্রথম প্রথম তার স্ত্রীকে গোলাপ উপহার দেয় তার স্ত্রীকে খুশি করার জন্য। যেটা বহুলভাবে প্রচলিত বাংলাদেশ সহ সারা বিশ্বেই এর প্রচার রয়েছে। তাই গোলাপ একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ফুল এর বিষয় গুরুত্ব রয়েছে বিশেষ জায়গায়। আপনি যদি বিয়ের জন্য প্রস্তুত নাও হন, তবুও এই গোলাপ আপনার সম্পর্কের জন্য সঠিক হতে পারে। এক গুচ্ছ তাজা গোলাপ পেলে আপনার প্রেমিকা খুশি হয়ে যেতে পারে। অনেকে বলেন গোলাপ দীর্ঘস্থায়ী প্রেমের সম্পর্কের চেয়ে ক্ষণস্থায়ী মোহের প্রতীক যেটা অনেক গুরুত্বপূর্ণ । আবার অনেকে বলেন কারও সঙ্গে দীর্ঘস্থায়ী প্রেমের সম্পর্কে যাওয়ার আগেও প্রেমিকাকে চমকে দেয়ার জন্য গোলাপ ব্যবহার করা হয়। গোলাপের ব্যবহার উপমহাদেশে ব্যাপকভাবে রয়েছে। বাংলাদেশের বিভিন্ন জায়গায় এখন গোলাপ চাষ করা হয় বিভিন্ন রঙের বিভিন্ন গন্ধের গোলাপ চাষ করা হয় কারণ এক এক রঙের গোলাপের চাহিদা একেক রক। আমরা যেটা চাষ করেছি সেটা সে গোলাপি রঙের গোলাপ। যেটা চাহিদা ব্যাপকভাবে রয়েছে বাজারে। গোলাপের কোন নিজস্ব গন্ধ তেমন নেই কিন্তু এই গোলাপের গন্ধ থাকা দরকার নেই। এই গোলাপের যেমন রং সেই রং এর মুগ্ধতার কারণে অনেকেই মুগ্ধতা নিতে বাধ্য হয় কারণ এটি খুব গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। একটা বিষয় গোলাপ একটি সুন্দর ফুল প্রিয় মানুষকে গিফট করার জন্য গোলাপ অত্যন্ত দক্ষ। যদিও গোলাপ সাধারণত নিষ্পাপের প্রতীক হিসেবে বিবেচিত হয়। আর গোলাপ উপহার দেয়ার ক্ষেত্রে অবশ্যই দেখতে হবে গোলাপটা কতটুকু তর তাজা আছে। তরতাজা গোলাপ ছাড়া কিন্তু উপহার দিলে আপনার প্রিয় মানুষটা বা যাকে উপহার দিবেন সে একটু মনে কর্ণ হতে পারে। বেশিরভাগ মানুষ মনে করে গোলাপে প্রচুর রং মেশানো থাকে। কিন্তু আসলে সবসময় এগুলো সত্যি নয়। কিছু বিশেষজ্ঞের মতে গোলাপ অন্যান্য ফুলের মধ্যে অন্যতম। তবে গোলাপের পাপড়ি কিন্তু খুব সুন্দর দেখা যায়। গোলাপ যেহেতু প্রাণ-প্রাচুর্যে ভরা একটি ফুল তাই এর ইতিবাচকতাই বেশি। তাই এই গোলাপে যথাযথ সংরক্ষণ আমাদের অত্যন্ত প্রয়োজ। গোলাপের সংরক্ষণ যদি যথাযথ না হয় তাহলে গোলাপ একদিন বিলুপ্ত হয়ে যাবে। তাই আমাদের এটা সংরক্ষণ করতে হবে। আপনি যদি কাউকে জানাতে চান যে তাকে অনেক ভালোবাসেন তাহলে এক গুচ্ছ তরতাজা গোলাপ উপহার দিতে পারেন।
