Hey there Blurters and Blurtians! 😂 Welcome back. Today I'd like to share with you the process my acrylic painting that came "From the Heart".
It was actually kind of a while ago when I painted this, but I had never actually posted it. Well, turns out I still have the photos of the process and will now show it here! I put a lot of love into it, I hope you enjoy.
Btw, big thanks to the Blurt Space community for making me a member! ❤️
This painting now lies in my moms' kitchen gallery for everyone to see during cooking haha. 😁
Also, does anyone know the origins of the heart shape "💚" we are all familiar with? Because to me, it looks nothing like the real one. I'd love to know the answer to this.. 😅
✨ Process ✨
This is the part where I try to create as much depth as possible through the color. I usually begin with the brighter colors and work darker to create depth and in this case, pop!
I did the text with a Sharpie.. 😉
This painting came purely out of my imagination and I got the reference for the heart from looking at many different sources with my own little touch. I'd love to hear your thoughts below!
Thank you for viewing my post, I hope you have a nice day!

13th Century .. 1250 AD
This is the earliest known depiction of the human heart in a metaphorical context signifying "romantic love", which over the next two centuries would give rise to the now-familiar heart symbol.
Illustration from fol. 41 of Ms. fr. 2186, the kneeling man is an allegory of Doux Regard ("sweet gaze") handing the damsel the lover's heart.

Wow, very interesting! From the picture it seems to have been more of a cone shape... Though, I heard from different sources before, that the cone shape used to be used to channel energy, kinda like a cone speaker. So much to find out.. 😅
Very interesting stuff though..
Thank you for taking the time!
