I thought about announcing it a month ago when I started out, but I didn't want to send everyone to a blank Blurt.media channel with no videos on it! Now that I have a pretty cool-looking channel with 29 videos on it, I think it's okay for me to have an opinion about it now...
What is "Blurt.media"?
Blurt.media is a video streaming site kinda like YouTube/Odyssey, but you can earn money from your first video since it's connected to the Blurt blockchain! I heard about it thanks to the developer, @agorise.
No ads and what I though was cool about it, is that I don't need to earn a "blue checkmark" before I start earning money.
Just like the dApp I'm using right now to write this post, on Blurt.media you can also earn money on comments you write under videos from the people who upvote it!
I never thought I'd be the type who'd enjoy making videos, but turns out I've been having a lot of fun sharing AI music, my artwork & paintings and nature tours which I have made a playlist for all these separate topics, on my channel. I'm also currently working on a timelapse video of me painting an acrylic painting which is currently a work in progress, which I'm so excited to share when it's done!
Also, I think it's worth to mention that if it weren't for this video site, I wouldn't have been as inspired to check out Suno.ai, where I fell into the rabbit hole of AI music creation, which I think I've made some pretty cool songs with. Since this is the place I put my very first one: Bunny.
Shoutout to those devs out there who have enough love for Blurt to start creating more sites connected to it, such as this one. Which also leads me to mention, that you can even comment on Blurt.media videos through other networks (like Mastodon and Pixelfed)! With this, we are all communicating as a community and not as competitors.
