This morning I wish to share with friends of the Blurt space Community, a sad and unfortunate incident that happened yesterday 19th September 2024 in the Nkwen market, a locality in Bamenda 3 sub division of Mezam, North west region of Cameroon. An improvised explosive device ( IED ), believed to have been planted in the market by the separatist fighters was detonated killing a young woman of about 30years old by name Chung Juliet a resident of New road road Nkwen, Bamenda. This young woman a native of Mboh-Oku, a village in Oku sub division of Bui, North West region. And about six people and an eleven month old child were seriously wounded in this unfortunate incident.
My city Bamenda has be become a death trap where people die every day like chickens. Every blessed day has a new story to tell, either of kidnapping for ransome, killing by targeted or stray bullets, killing by improvised explosive devices and many unfortunate incidents under unforeseen circumstances. Please join me pray for my Country, and for lasting dialogue, that can give PEACE a chance to reign again in a once peaceful Country, Cameroon.
