Then me and Maj Baba went to this training. We reached the upazila hall at exactly 10:30. Because our training takes place in the hall in the upazila. As I had done many times before, I hurried to the hall. Then dulabhai me and my mezzo uncle have two hands gave the cord.
Actually, today while I was having breakfast, Dulabhai called and told us to go to the upazila. Today Dulabhaid had one. Actually no coaching calls me. My brother-in-law md আRashed Milton is working as an agricultural assistant in Mujibnagar Upazila. And in our Gangni upazila there is Mohammad Mehedi Hasan Bhai. Today was basically his training. আসলে আজকে আমি নাস্তা করার সময় দুলাভাই ফোন দিয়ে বলেছিল আমাদের উপজেলায় যেতে। আজকের দুলাভাইদের একটা প্রশিক্ষণ ছিল। আসলে যে কোন প্রশিক্ষনে আমাকে ফোন দেয়। আমার দুলাভাই মোঃ রাসেল তিনি মুজিবনগর উপজেলায় কৃষি উপসহকারীতে কর্মরত আছেন। আর আমাদের গাংনী উপজেলায় রয়েছেন মোহাম্মদ মেহেদী হাসান ভাই। আজকে মূলত তার প্রশিক্ষণ ছিল। তবে আমরা গাংনী উপজেলায় হওয়ায় এই প্রশিক্ষণে যুক্ত হয়েছিলাম। আমাদের মেহেরপুর জেলায় তিনটি উপজেলা রয়েছে। তাই এখানে তিনটি উপজেলায় প্রতিবছরে বেশ কয়েকবার করে পাট নিয়ে প্রশিক্ষণ করানো হয়। তো উপজেলায় হল রুমে আমাদের যাওয়ার সাথে সাথেই একটা কার্ড দিল। তারপরে ভিতরে প্রবেশ করলাম। ভিতরে প্রবেশ করে দেখি আমাদের আগেই অনেকেই চলে এসেছে। শুধু তাই নয় আমাদের মেহেরপুর জেলার কৃষি অফিসার এখানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন। তাই ভিতরে গিয়ে নিজ আসনে পড়লাম । এরপর একে একে অনেকেই আসলেন। তবে আমাদের এই আজকে যে প্রশিক্ষণটা হয়েছিল এ প্রশিক্ষণে সভাপতিত্ব করেছিলেন গাংনী উপজেলার eono মহোদয় জনাব প্রীতম সাহা। আসলে তিনি আমাদের উপজেলায় খুবই সততার সাথে কাজ পরিচালনা করেন। আমার একটা বিষয় খুবই ভালো লেগেছিল যে এই প্রশিক্ষণ শুরু হওয়ার পূর্বে তিনি এখানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন। আসলে তিনি শত ব্যস্ততার মধ্যেও আমাদের এই প্রশিক্ষণ এসেছিলেন। আর এই প্রশিক্ষণের শুভ উদ্বোধন করলেন আমাদের উপজেলার ইউ নো মহোদয় জনাব প্রিত্তম সাহা। আপনারা উপরের ছবির দিকে লক্ষ্য করলে দেখতে পাবেন আমি খুবই সুন্দর করে বেশ কয়েকটি ছবি ধারণ করেছি। এখানে লক্ষ্য করলে দেখতে পাবেন একদম মিডিলে যিনি বসে আছেন ইনি হচ্ছেন আমাদের উপজেলার ইওনো মহোদয়। আসলে তিনি খুবই সৎ এবং নিষ্ঠাবান একজন ব্যক্তি। আজকের এই প্রশিক্ষণটি হয়েছিল পাট বীজ চাষী প্রশিক্ষণ। আসলে আমার কাছে খুবই ভালো লেগেছিল যে তিনি প্রথমেই এসে এখানে উদ্বোধন করে গেলেন। কেননা তার কিন্তু অনেক কাজ থাকে। তিনি শত ব্যস্ততার মধ্য দিয়েও কিছু সময় বের করে আমাদের এই প্রশিক্ষণের সীমিত সময়ের জন্য উপস্থিত ছিলেন। তবে তিনি এসেই খুবই সুন্দর করে পাট বীজ নিয়ে অনেক কথা বললেন। এছাড়াও এর প্রয়োজনীয়তা খুবই সুন্দর করে কৃষকদের মাঝে বুঝিয়ে দিলেন। আসলে ইওনো মহোদয় যখন টিনার বক্তব্য দিয়েছিলেন তখন আমরা সকলেই খুব সুন্দর ভাবে শ্রবণ করেছিলাম। তেই তিনি এই প্রশিক্ষণ সম্পর্কে সম্যক একটা ধারণা দিলেন। তাছাড়া বীজ নিয়ে তিনি খুব সুন্দর করে বারবার করে বুঝিয়ে দিলেন। তিনি আমাদের মাঝে স্বল্প সময়ের মধ্য দিয়ে খুবই সুন্দর উপস্থাপন করেছিলেন। এক পর্যায়ে তিনি এই প্রশিক্ষণ উদ্বোধন করেই বিদায় নিলেন।

আসলে আজকের এই প্রশিক্ষণে অনেকেই উপস্থিত ছিলেন। আপনার উপরে ছবির দিকে লক্ষ্য করলে দেখতে পাবেন এখানে বিভিন্ন কৃষক এই প্রশিক্ষণে উপস্থিত হয়েছেন। আসলে প্রতিবছরে এই প্রশিক্ষণ দুইবার হয়ে থাকে পাট বিষয়ে। এর একটা হচ্ছে পাট কাটার সময় আরেকটা হচ্ছে পাটের বীজ সংরক্ষণ করার সময়। আপনারা জানেন বর্তমানে যে সব জায়গায় পাট চাষ করা হয়েছিল সেগুলো এখন বাজারজাতকরণ করা হচ্ছে। আর পাট বাজারজাতকরণ করার মধ্য দিয়েই কিন্তু পাটের আরও একটি কাজ শুরু হয়ে যায় সেটা হচ্ছে পাটের গুরু সংরক্ষণ করার জন্য। কিভাবে তৈরি করতে হবে এই বিষয়ে আজকের এই প্রশিক্ষণটা হয়েছিল। আসলে আমরা এখানে যার উপস্থিত ছিলাম আমি সকলের জন্য আর হলেও কিন্তু আমার চেয়ে অনেক সিনিয়র মানুষজন এখানে ছিলেন। আমি শুধু দুলাভাইয়ের ডাকে গিয়েছিলাম। তবে এখানে আমি আজকেই যে বিষয়টা জানতে পারলাম সেটা হচ্ছে কিভাবে এই পাটের বীজ তৈরি করতে হয়। তাছাড়া আপনারা যদি ছবির দিকে লক্ষ্য করেন তাহলে দেখতে পাবেন এখানে অনেক জায়গা থেকে আমাদের উপজেলার বেশ কয়েকজন কৃষি হাজির হয়েছেন। আসলে কৃষকদের সমনায় আজকের এ প্রশিক্ষণ হয়েছিল।

তবে এই প্রশিক্ষণে শুভ উদ্বোধন হওয়ার পর পরেই আমাদের মেহেরপুর জেলার কৃষি অফিসার খুবই সুন্দর করে পাটের ব্রিজ তৈরি করার প্রক্রিয়াটি আমাদের সকলের মাঝে বললেন। শুধু তাই নয় তিনি একদম পুরা প্রসেসটি সুন্দর করে বুঝিয়ে দিলেন। তাছাড়া বাংলাদেশের একটা সোনালী আঁশ সেটা হচ্ছে পাট। কিন্তু কালের বিবর্তনে সেই নামটা যেন বাংলাদেশ থেকে মুছে গিয়েছে। তবে এটাকে আবার সকলের মাঝে ফুটে তোলার জন্যই দারুণভাবে তিনি দিনের বক্তব্য দিলেন। ঐ সময়ে আমি উপরের ছবিটা আমার ফোনে ধারণ করি। আসলে আজকের এই অনুষ্ঠানে যিনি প্রধান অতিথি ছিলেন তিনি হচ্ছে উপস্থিত হতে পেরেছিলেন না। কেননা তিনি আজকে রাজশাহীতে তার একটা প্রোগ্রাম ছিল। পরে আমরা জানতে পারলাম আমাদের মেহেরপুর জেলার যিনি কৃষি অফিসার আছেন ওই প্রোগ্রামে তিনিও পার্টিসিপেট ছিলেন। কিন্তু আজকে নিজের জেলায় এই প্রশিক্ষণটি হাওয়ায় তিনি সেখানে উপস্থিত না হয়ে আমাদের সকলের মাঝে উপস্থিত হয়েছেন। তবে এই প্রশিক্ষণ চলার মধ্য দিয়ে আমাদের প্রধান অতিথি যিনি ছিলেন তিনি হচ্ছে পাঠ অধিদপ্তর ঢাকা মন্ত্রণালয়। তিনি উপস্থিত হতে না পারলেও তিনি ফোনের মাধ্যমে এই অনুষ্ঠানের বা এই প্রশিক্ষণের সফল কামনা করে দিনে তিনার বক্তব্য দিলেন। তিনি বক্তব্য দিয়েছিলেন প্রজেক্টর এর মাধ্যমে। তবে আমাদের প্রধান অতিথি তার অন্য একটা প্রোগ্রামের জন্য তিনি এখানে উপস্থিত হতে পেরেছিলেন না। তারপরেও তিনি ফোনের মাধ্যমে খুবই সুন্দর করে এই বিষয়ে তার সুন্দর ধারণা দিলেন। এবং কৃষকদের মাঝে খুব সুন্দর করে তিনি বুঝিয়ে দিলেন কিভাবে পাট বীজ সংরক্ষণ বা তৈরি করতে হবে।

আসলে বর্তমানে আমরা পাটের জিনিসগুলো ব্যবহার করিনা। যে কারণে এই জিনিসটা সোনালী আঁশ হলেও কিন্তু এর দাম তেমন বেশি নয়। এর একটাই কারণ এটা বাজারে বেশি আছে কিন্তু আমরা ব্যবহার করি কম। তবে আজকে এ প্রশিক্ষণে একটা বিষয় জানতে পারলাম সেটা হচ্ছে সরকারিভাবে পাটের পণ্য তৈরি করার জন্য নীতি রয়েছে। কিন্তু সেগুলো আমরা আজকে কিছু টাকার জন্য করি না। যেমন কৃষি অফিসারের কাছ থেকে জানতে পারলাম আমাদের যে পলিথিন ব্যবহার করি এটা খুবই ক্ষতিকর। কেন নেই পলিথিন যদি মাটিতে রাখা হয় তাহলে এটা পসে না অর্থাৎ এতে করে বেশিদিন থাকার মধ্য দিয়ে মাটির উর্বরতা বৃদ্ধি কমিয়ে দেয়। অন্যদিকে আমরা যদি পাটের পলিথিন গুলো ব্যবহার করি তাহলে এটা ব্যবহার করার পরে যদি মাটিতে ফেলে দিই তাহলে কিন্তু এটা ১০ থেকে ২০ দিনের মধ্যে মাটির সাথে মিশে যাবে। এমনকি এই পলিথিন একসময় পৌঁছে যাবে আর সেখানে মাটির উর্বরতা বৃদ্ধি করবে। যদিও এটি এখনও বাজারে আসেনি কিন্তু আমাদের কৃষি অফিসার তিনি এই পাটের একটি প্যাকেট নিয়ে এসেছিলেন আজকের এই প্রশিক্ষণে। তবে এটি আমাদের সকলের মধ্যে একে একে সকলের কাছে পৌঁছে দিলেন। আমরা সবাই সেটি একজনের কাছ থেকে আর একজন আরেকজনের কাছ থেকে আর একজন এভাবে দেখেছিলাম। একপর্যায়ে যখন এটি আমার কাছে আসে তখন আমি এটি খুব ভালোভাবে দেখলাম এবং এটার খুবই সুন্দর ছবি আমি ফোনে ধারণ করেছি। আপনারাও উপরের ছবিটিতে লক্ষ্য করলে দেখতে পাবেন যে পলিথিনের প্যাকেট দেখতে পাচ্ছেন এটা হচ্ছে পাটের তৈরি। তাছাড়া পলিথিনের প্যাকেটের চেয়ে এই প্যাকেটটা খুবই মজবুত এবং নরম সেই সাথে খুবই সুন্দর। আসলে এই প্যাকেটটা দেখেই কিন্তু আমার খুবই ভালো লেগেছিল। তাছাড়া আপনারা উপরের ছবিটির দিকে লক্ষ্য করলে দেখতে পাবেন এই প্যাকেটটা সবাই একে একে করে দেখছে আর অন্যরা যখন দেখেছিল ঠিক তখনই আমি পড়ে এই ছবিটা আমার ফোনে ধারণ করি। তবে আমরা যদি আমাদের ব্যবহারিক জিনিসপত্রে এই পাটের পণ্যের তৈরি জিনিস গুলো ব্যবহার করি তাহলে এই পাট আবারো সোনালে আসে ফিরে আসবে। এমনকি বাংলাদেশী এটি অনেক পরিচিত এবং আরো পরিচিত হবে।
