- A beautiful day
- February ,15-02-2025,
Assalamualaikum, how are you all, I hope everyone is doing well by the grace of Allah. Alhamdulillah I am very well too. I came today with a new post. Today's post is about traditional rice bread and boot halwa and semolina halwa made on the occasion of Shaba Barat. On Shaba Barat, Mukti Rajni or mid-Shaban night, the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, woke up at night and was busy for a long time. Shabbat is a Persian word. Shab means night, Barat means deliverance or liberation. These two words together mean the light of liberation. The virtues of this night are proven through hadiths.
It is mentioned in the hadith that Allah forgives all creatures except the polytheists and the envious with Him on this night. On this night, people perform various types of nafl worship. Along with worship, there is also a tradition of eating halwa bread on the occasion of Shabbat Barat. However, it is not found in the hadith that there was any practice of eating halwa bread or distributing it among the neighbors during the period of Shaba Barat or Lailatum Min Nisfi Shaban, which is a matter of Islamic law. However, many historical analysts have opined that Shab-e-Barat observance began in Bangladesh at the end of the 19th century. Halwa bread is eaten on this day in sympathy with that incident.
First I took the halwa recipe of eighty boots and after that I could not take the pictures so I gave what I have.First, wash the dal of the boot and soak it for 1 hour. After that, boil the dal of the boot with enough water and dry the water. Now add a little milk to the boiled dal and blend it, you can also beat it. Now heat pure ghee/oil in a nonstick frying pan and add cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaves one by one. Now add the mixture of boot dal and cow's milk. Stir frequently to prevent burning. Then add red sugar, a pinch of salt. Add chopped almonds and raisins. When the halwa thickens and comes out of the pan, take it off the stove. Spread a little ghee on the plate or tray on which you will pour the halwa. Now pour the halwa on the plate and spread it evenly and cut it into desired size.
Entertain your family members with this halwa on Shab. Put a pan on the stove and lightly fry the semolina, cardamom and cinnamon on medium heat. Then take it out and keep it in a separate container. Take milk in a vessel and heat it with sugar. When the ball rises, add pre-fried semolina to it. Then add raisins to it. When the milk becomes dry, take it down. Serve with chopped almonds on top. If you want, you can cut it as you like. Now let's know how to make rice bread. First, put a pot on the stove and heat water in it. When it boils, add a little salt and then add rice powder.
Now leave it for a while to cook well. After that, take it out of the oven. Now stir well with the help of a wooden stick. After that, it should be kneaded well by hand. The better you knead, the better the bread will be made. After kneading well, the bread should be rolled long and cut into small pieces. Now cover all the pieces with a cloth. Take out a piece and make bread. Then all the bread should be rolled. After that, all the breads should be drained one by one on low heat. All these foods were prepared by my mother and grandmother. I took some photographs to share with you. Now let's hope with boot halwa recipe. As of today, I am saying goodbye here, everyone will be fine and healthy.
