Assalamualaikum, how are you all, I hope everyone is doing well by the grace of Allah. Alhamdulillah I am also very well. I came today with a new post, I hope you all will like it. Today's post is series pitha recipe. Traditional series pitha recipe of village Bengal. Series pitha is a type of traditional Bengali pitha, usually made with rice flour. It is mostly prepared especially on special festivals. The main ingredients of Series Pitha are rice and salt. Series Pitha is part of rural Bengali tradition and is usually made in every home.
It is very tasty and easy to make. Now let's hope to make pitha. First, the rice is brought to powder from the milled rice market. Then I cut banana leaves from some banana plants. Then cut the banana leaves well and wash them with a thin cloth so that there is no water. This time I made a dough with some rice powder and water and little rice powder and salt to taste.
After that, the dates are lightly beaten on the seal plate so that it is fine. Now I have bought two tow series from the market. I washed that series with water in two batches. This time I have divided the dough of that rice powder into two parts. I kept one white and made an orange dough with food colouring. Now I have designed one by one with that dough according to my own wishes.
I have designed different types of round shape, rectangle shape, four corner shape, leaf shape. Can be designed as per your wish. Designs can be made on banana leaves or jackfruit leaves. I did them on banana leaves. Whose advantage is that. Now when all the designs are done they have to be steamed. Place a pot on the stove with water in it and steam it with designs made on banana leaves one by one with a sieve attached to it.
After they are steamed, they should be dried in the sun.After they are dried well, they should be kept in a bowl or a bowl so that the air does not get soft. After that, when you want to eat them, fry them in oil to make Teri series pitha. After frying in oil, it will be ready to eat. Today's recipe is now finished.
