Jimmy escuchaba atentamente cada consejo que le daba su mejor amigo Tyrone, eran los únicos dos paletos de la secundaria de Magnolias que seguían vírgenes, pero Tyrone le llevaba algo de ventaja a Jimmy había logrado llegar a 2da base con Lucy Pendelton en su fiesta de cumpleaños 6 años atrás, cuando el juego de la botella le regalo 7 minutos en el paraíso con la niña mas linda de todo el pueblo. Ese hecho que para cualquiera pudiera resultar meramente anecdótico coloco a Tyrone como el experto en mujeres y relaciones entre los dos amigos.

-¿ Ya entendiste lo que tienes que hacer Jimmy ?.

-Ok, ¿ pero si mejor me llevo una botella ?.

-Cual botella !!!, eso es un juego para críos de 10 años, nosotros ya tenemos 16, en todo caso si no resulta mi plan, seguro los Borrows tendrán alguna botella en su bar, así que hazme el favor de no llegar a su casa llevando una.

-Esta bien como tu digas.

-No se que hiciste para que Katy Phelps se fijara en ti, yo también estaba allí parado contigo, digamos que tuviste suerte.

Ambos amigos salieron de casa de Tyrone en sus bicicletas, la casa de Lucy Pendelton quedaba en el mismo rumbo que la casa de los Borrows, de hecho a solo 2 manzanas. Cuando llegan al punto donde tienen que despedirse.

-Ty, ¿ y si no se que hacer ?.

-Que tonto eres Jimmy, parece que no aprendiste nada de mi, Katy es niñera, te invito a la casa donde cuida a los niños, a las 9 de la noche, esos niños ya estaran dormidos para cuando tu llegues.

-¿Y eso significa?.

-Que esta noche llegas a segunda base con Katy como minimo!!!, como que me llamo Tyrone, deja los nervios y pedalea hasta tu adultez.

-Bye Jimmy -, Tyrone vio como se alejaba su mejor amigo, tenía sentimientos encontrados, por una parte estaba orgulloso de que Jimmy al fin consiguiera una novia, pero tambien preocupado porque el no tenia una.

Mientras en casa de los Borrows...

-¿Donde están niños, si me devuelven mi bolso ahora no me enojare?-, Katy llevaba mas de una hora luchando con el par de diablitos.

-Queremos el helado ahora y la llave del gabinete con el bol de dulces y no es negociable-, le gritaron escondidos en algún sitio de la casa, Katy necesitaba desesperadamente ese bolso.

-Esta bien, ganaron!!!, les daré el helado y la llave del gabinete de los dulces, ahora bajen.

-Por esta razón nunca tendré hijos!!!-, pensaba Katy, fue a la cocina tomo un litro de helado y lo distribuyo equitativamente en unos platos hondos regreso a la sala y los coloco sobre la mesa junto a la llave del gabinete que resguardaba el bol de dulces, un minuto después apareció Dylan a recoger el botín, pero Katy se interpuso entre el y la mesa, y le hizo la señal que si no le entregaba su bolso no tomaría nada, el chicho silbo y Joshua desde el 2 do piso arrojo el bolso, Katy pego un salto para atraparlo antes de que se estrellara contra el piso, lo abrio para verificar que todo estuviera adentro, Joshua bajo a la sala para comerse el helado junto a su hermano Dylan, Katy los dejo tranquilos y se dirigió a la cocina para calentarles la pizza al par de diablitos, todavía tenía tiempo antes de que llegara Jimmy.

Dylan y Joshua devoraban sus helados, apostaron!!!, el que se lo terminara primero tomaría 2/3 partes del botín de dulces de la entrada, - Track, track -, un ruido llama la atención de los gemelos, alguien trataba de entrar por la puerta que daba acceso a la piscina, corrieron la cortina y no había nadie. Katy colocaba las pizzas en el microondas y sacaba su aderezo secreto de su bolso, - track, track -, la niñera escucho cuando alguien trataba de abrir la ventana de la cocina, aparto la cortina para mirar, pero no había nadie, - Katy, Katy !!!- Gritaron los niños, la niñera salió corriendo de vuelta a la sala, los niños señalaban a la piscina.

-Si es otra de sus bromas no se la van a acabar.

-Hay alguien allí afuera vimos una sombra-, Katy se armo con un florero, secundada por los niños abrió la puerta del patio y encendió las luces de la piscina, no había nadie!!!.

-Aquí no hay nadie par de metirosos!!!.

-Es noche de Halloween!!!, siempre hay locos haciendo bromas o un payaso asesino matando personas!!!-, dijeron los niños.

-Creí que eran mas valientes, eso solo pasa en las películas.

-Y en la vida real ¿ no ves las noticias?.

-Hablando de películas, ¿Ya vieron la última de Halloween ?.

-Nuestros papas dicen que es malo que veamos películas de miedo, que así no nos daran ideas!!!.

-Que sabios sus papas, pero esta noche yo soy su niñera y yo decido.

Luego de cerrar bien la puerta del patio, Katy encendió el televisor de la sala y busco la película, parecía que el miedo mas que el helado era el secreto para controlar al par de diablitos que le toco cuidar esa noche, un trabajo muy duro que se veía obligada a hacer por las circunstancias. Los tres estaban muy entretenidos viendo la película -ding,ding,ding- las pizzas estaban listas, Katy se levanto para ir por ellas, -track, track- alguien estaba tratando de entrar por la puerta de la piscina otra vez pese a estar la luz apagada ella también pudo ver una sombra.

The babysitter [2]

Jimmy listened carefully to every piece of advice his best friend Tyrone gave him. They were the only two rednecks from Magnolias High School who were still virgins, but Tyrone had a bit of an advantage over Jimmy.
