Curator Cat: Of Cat Photos and "Low Effort" Content

in blurt-187635 •  last year

Greetings Fine Felines and Hoomans of Blurtopia!

It has been quite a while since I put much thought into the question of "quality" content.

However, I periodically see people bring up the question of "low effort content" and whether or not it deserves to be rewarded the same as content that people put more time and effort into.

This, in turn, made me wonder what people think about those who post cat pictures. Is posting cat pictures considered "low effort" content?

If you've ever tried photographing cats, you'd probably agree that the answer is likely 'no," unless you're just posting a bunch of unedited "cat blur!"

Considering the sheer size of the following that's become dedicated to the idea of Caturday all around the globe, I would be inclined to say no. Caturday and cat photos are more than just "filler."

Or, more accurately, I would be inclined to say that cat photos are just like any other kind of content: there's going to be low quality content and low effort content... and then there's going to be high quality content and high effort content that just happens to be centered around cats rather than a different topic.

Accordingly, I don't think I'm going to lose sleep over that one!

I know how I like to present my posts, and we always do our best to add value to the data stream. Just ask the Dad-Hooman, if you don't believe me!

Thanks for visiting, and till the next one!

Great pictures and RIP to Orange. Taking cat pictures needs some kind of attention or precision especially when they are up and about, getting them to look into the camera can be challenging.
Thank you for sharing and keep enjoying your week :}
