Greetings, fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Blurtlandia!

So it is Saturday today, and that means it is caturday, my favorite day of the week... because today is the day we all get to post lots of pictures of our Feline friends!

Of course, I don't let the fact that it's some day other than Caturday stop me from posting cat pictures... but it's just more popular to do so, today!

We have had a good day here today!

The Mom-Hooman is visiting the Daughter-Hooman in Seattle, so we only have one Hooman home to focus all our attention seeking on!

We had hoped for a sunny weekend so we could all laze around in the sun puddles... but it has been cloudy and intermittently rainy all day... boooo!

But we're making the most of it, regardless. The Dad-Hooman does a lot of fine detail work, which means there are low desk lamps in several places, and I like to get under them because they do give off a nice bit of warmth.

Earlier, we were having a discussion about "low effort content."

We always post original (typically new) photos in our posts, and we always make sure there are multiple photos and a bit of a story thread to go with the pictures.

We have never held any kind of expectations that a venue like Blurt is about "money for nothing."

Speaking of "money," I was excited to see that the Curator Cat blog has finally passed 10,000 Blurt Power, recently.

I realize that's not much of anything, but even small milestones are nice to observe! Hopefully this community will continue to be good for many years to come... and eventually gain some traction and become more known and active.

Till then, we'll just keep doing our thing!

There's always fierce competition for the popular spots!

This part week, the Mom-Hooman started on the big project that is our old kitty Smudge's spring trim.

Smudge grows a huge thick winter coat, and in spring it all has to come off... she's a bit like a tiny sheep, with a thick mat of fur that actually has to be shaved off, at least in part.

Don't have any pictures yet, but this next shot gives you an idea of just how fuzzy Smudge gets!

Well, it's time for the evening kitty snacks, so we'd better end it for this go around!
