Greetings, fine Felines and Hoomans of Blurtlandia!
I hope everyone is having a good week, notwiithstanding all the upheaval in the Cryptosphere. Hopefully it's just a "phase" and will pass soon!
Three cats trying to share a very small sunny spot!
We are still very much in the throes of winter around here, but this morning we were actually greeted by a sunny day.
Being cats, it of course means that the quest to find the nearest sunny spot is ON!
Nala in the sun
In wintertime, the only place that really gets the early morning sun is a small patch of the hallway, at the top of the stairwell to our lower level.
Depending on the exact time, it is a pretty small patch, as a result of which there's a bit of competition to find the best spot!
Shangri at least getting a little sun on his face!
Of course, the sunny spot moves pretty quickly, and eventually ends up being on the stairs.
Sometimes that means cats laying across the steps, in a neat row. I was hoping to show that this morning, but it didn't happen... "herding cats," and all that...!
Getting the last tiny bits before it moves again
Shadow — aka "Curator Cat" — is the oldest and wisest of the cats and realizes that when the hallway sunny spot goes away, it is time to move to one particular cat condo by the crafts area where the sun hits for about 30-40 minutes before going behind the roof.
So I moved myself into position before anyone else could get there!
This is MY sunny spot... at least for the next 30 minutes!
The Hoomans have promised that this will be the year when they trim the trees in the driveway, which means we'll have more sunny spots in the morning, as we move into spring and summer.
I am really looking forward to that... because cats and sunny spots are very important!
Feels so good!
Our Smudge did not compete in the "Sunny Spot Race" this morning... she was busy continuing her napping, being an old cat, and such.
Thanks for taking a moment to visit our cat blog, and we hope to see you again soon! Don't forget that "Saturday means CATURDAY!"
