Kiew Ong Eia Shrine is located on Tha Klang Road, Thap Thiang Subdistrict, Mueang Trang District, Trang Province. It is the oldest and largest shrine in Trang Province. It has a history of more than 150 years.

Hello everyone, today I will take you to see
a shrine in Trang province.
That is Kiu Ong Eia Shrine
Let's go see it together
Kiu Ong Eia Shrine or known as Rong Phra Kin Phak

History

I searched for information and found out that the Kiew Ong Eia Shrine was built by a group of Hokkien Chinese who immigrated from China.
Originally, this shrine was a small shrine, but due to faith, it was developed and expanded continuously. Until it became a large and important shrine today.

The oldest and largest shrine in Trang Province is located on Wang To Road, Thap Thiang Subdistrict, Mueang Trang District, Trang Province. It is a place that Chinese people highly respect. Especially during the Lent and Vegetarian Festival, there will be a large number of people from all directions coming to pay homage.

When walking into the shrine, the first thing that catches the eye is the pavilion that stands out in the front area with its beautiful and distinctive Chinese architecture. This pavilion is very beautiful, like a welcoming door that invites visitors to experience the beauty of architectural art because of its beautiful design with graceful patterns and bright colors. The roof is curved in the Chinese style, decorated with dragons and swans. I like the pillars and walls, which are beautifully carved, telling stories of beliefs and legends.

The building itself is located in front of the shrine. What you see in front of you is a large building that looks like a cafeteria or a shop canteen which is a part of the shrine that provides food and drinks to visitors. In the past, when I was eating vegetarian food, I would come here to eat. The price of a bento box for 1 week is 900 baht.

When walking past the food pavilion, you will see the stairs leading up to the shrine, which has 2 dragons on each side of the stairs, each with a golden color and very beautiful patterns. When looking up, you will see the shrine standing out beautifully on the hill. The surrounding atmosphere is quiet, amidst the rain and cool and refreshing. In the front yard, there is a shrine for worship and making wishes. I walked to take pictures amidst the pouring rain.

I walked to the right. I entered the shrine. What I saw was the beauty of the architecture, which perfectly combined Chinese and Thai art. The pillars in this picture are inside the shrine. Each pillar, the patterns carved on the pillars, tells the story of the gods and legends of China. This reflects the beliefs and culture that have been passed down for a long time.

When walking into the shrine, in addition to admiring the beautiful architecture and paying homage to various deities, there are also 2 other interesting things on the left-hand side: the fortune sticks and the donation box.

When walking outside, you will see a lamp post or Huai Pillar, which is a Chinese style situation. It is an octagonal cylinder shape. Each side has holes drilled into it. On top is a low pagoda roof.

I walked to another large and prominent shrine. When I stepped into Kiu Ong Eia Shrine
I was met with grandeur and beauty in a Chinese style.
So I walked around taking pictures from many angles in this shrine.
Another amazing thing inside the shrine was the roof of the shrine that was open in the middle, allowing the rain to fall directly, which is a unique feature that is hard to find.
Inside this shrine are the shrines of various goddesses and deities that the Chinese people of Trang respect. There are also many interesting paintings that tell stories of history and legends.

Kiu Ong Eia Shrine is very beautiful. I took pictures while waiting for the rain to stop. But it kept raining lightly. My wife and I decided to go back. On the way, we kept taking pictures. This place is very peaceful. I can feel it.
If you have a chance to visit Trang Province, don't forget to stop by to pay homage at Kiu Ong Eia Shrine and experience the beauty of the architecture.
Today, I have to say goodbye. I will bring you more tourist attractions and temples in Trang Province. For today, I have to say goodbye. Goodbye.
