Hello ladies and gentlemen! 😉 Welcome back! Okay, let's say, you get stuck on a deserted island far away from anything and all you have is cardboard and a buttload of duct tape, well, in this post I'll show you how you might not be so screwed!
Yes, in this post, I'll show you how my team and I, which we cleverly named "Cheesecake Engineering" used nothing but cardboard and duct tape for a race! We had to compete against 3 other teams named: "The Princess Pirates, The Pringles and Aca Bullies"
Rules of the Cardboard Boat race:
You can use no more than cardboard and duct tape
The winner is the team that stays afloat the longest and gets to the end in the shortest time
No smothering your boat in duct tape (use it only for covering corners and edges)
With that, we took three hours to make a Catamarán style boat, and chose the person who weights the least to get on it ~ which was me!
The Ultimate Race
When I got in our boat, the part I layed on went underwater, but I pushed myself to power through. Although, dang! This was definitely one of the hardest workouts I've had that week! It's not that easy swimming normally in the water except you're pushing this massive chunk of soaked cardboard with your body in record time!
Plus I was laughing at myself which made it harder haha...
This is where the clown announces to everyone how it works and introduces the judges..
Now, it was my teams' turn, this is where everyone started chanting "Cheesecake Engineering! Cheesecake Engineering!" As I powered through like an otter/sloth lol.
At this part, the cardboard fins my team had strapped to my hands were discintegrating! 🤣
This didn't stop me!! We put so many hours into this freakin' boat and I'm not gonna waste it!
The Score
The Princess pirates did pretty good, The Aca Bullies didn't even make it one second, (sorry I didn't get that in photo haha), but once I got out, I was certain that the Pringles were going to win by how long they stayed afloat...
The Winner is.....

✨ Cheesecake Engineering, who managed to beat Pringles by a whopping 19 seconds! ✨

Honestly, I am so amazed that my team actually managed to beat Pringles, all of the adult's cameras were out and we all won a T-Shirt and 30USD worth of the events' merch that we got to choose at the reception! It was a cheerful day, but nothing was possible without this awesome team!

That seems so fun! I bet the Aca Bullies were really trying to look badass, but ended up losing and not even lasting a single second...I just hope they had a blast, I bet they did. "It's about the journey, not the destination" - random wise dude. Keep up the good work!
