Hi there! Welcome back! Some days ago, from the 16th til' the 21st of February we were having loads of fun spending our days at Anarchapulco, one of the most famous liberty events happening in Acapulco, Mexico. In this post, I'd like to share some of those experiences that played out at their Family Camp, a place where kids of many ages learned how to make their very own Didgeridoos. 😁💕
What is a Didgeridoo?
I asked myself the same question. Apparently, it is an Australian instrument traditionally made out of a hollow eucalyptus trunk that has been hollowed out by termites. The ancients believed that the frequencies they got by blowing into it put them into a "dream state", a relaxing higher state such as the theta state.
With our instructor, a lifelong Didgeridoo player, taught the children and adults how they can all make their own out of PVC pipes and how to play. All the kids had fun blowing into them as loud as they can. 🤣
Once all the kids have gotten the shape for their Didgeridoo they wanted, we all sanded them down with sandpaper so that they could later be painted.

Meanwhile, other kids are busy already selling their other creations at the event, like this kid. I thought this was worth mentioning, since every year he does well selling merch, we all know this kid is going to become part of a mass company some day.. 😁
Our Finished Didgeridoos
The one on the left is the one I did, I think they turned out pretty sweet and got to take them home.
Thank you for reading my post, I hope you enjoyed it and enjoy the rest of your day.
I gotta go play some Didgeridoos!

Thank you a dozen! 💗
I think that modern research on sound frequency and what it does to our body can safely cross out the phrase "believed" from his sentence ;)
Nevertheless, I have some doubts whether it is possible to create an instrument with a similar sound and effects thanks to a PVC pipe ;)
Nevertheless, great fun :D
