Hello everyone
Despite the fact that the weather in Phuket had been rainy almost every night, today was different. It was a hot day, perfect for swimming in the sea, and so I decided to meet up with a friend I hadn't seen in months to go kayaking and watch the sunset at Yanui Beach.
Yanui Beach had become a second home to me. As an avid kayaker, I would come to this beach almost every weekend, ready to paddle along the calm and clear waters.
One of the things I loved most about Yanui Beach was the road leading up to it. Shaded by trees on both sides, the road was a welcome respite from the scorching heat of the sun. As I drove down the road, I could feel the cool breeze blowing in through the car windows, filling me with a sense of calm and tranquility.
The surrounding atmosphere of Yanui Beach was just as inviting as the road leading up to it. The air was filled with the sounds of the sea, the chatter of tourists. Yanui Beach was a small but beautiful beach, hidden between Promthep Cape and Windmill Viewpoint. As I arrived at the beach, I was struck by the beauty of the surrounding scenery. The view on both sides of the beach was breathtaking, and even though it was a small beach, it had everything we needed for an amazing day.
If you're planning a trip to Ya Nui Beach, I highly recommend traveling there by motorbike. Not only will you be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery as you ride along the winding paths along the beach, but you'll also have the added benefit of easy parking.
The parking lot at Ya Nui Beach isn't particularly wide, making it difficult to find a spot for larger vehicles. However, if you're traveling by motorbike, you'll find that it's much easier to park in a narrow space.
As you ride your motorbike along the winding paths towards Ya Nui Beach, you'll be surrounded by lush greenery and stunning views of the ocean. The road can be a bit bumpy at times, but it's all part of the adventure.
As soon as my friend and I met up, we headed straight to the kayak rental shop which was conveniently located near the car park. The rental prices were reasonable, with a cost of 100 baht per person for an hour of kayaking. We had the option to rent either a single or double kayak, and we both agreed to rent a double kayak from the friendly staff. The rental package also included a large waterproof bag for our belongings and a life jacket for safety.
After we finished paying for our kayak rental, the friendly staff led us towards the kayaks parked on the beach. As we made our way through the crowd of tourists sunbathing on the beach, we couldn't help but notice a dog lying comfortably under the sand. It was the kayak owner's dog, and it was clear that the beach was a familiar and comfortable place for it.
Once we had our equipment, we were ready to head out onto the water. We launched our kayak into the calm and clear sea, feeling the refreshing spray of the ocean on our faces as we paddled out towards the open water.
As we glided over the gentle waves, we took in the stunning views of Yanui Beach and the surrounding areas. On either side of the beach were towering cliffs, covered in lush greenery. We could see tourists sunbathing, swimming, and snorkeling in the clear waters, while others paddled around on stand-up paddleboards.
As evening approached, we noticed that there were many tour boats floating nearby, all waiting to catch a glimpse of the stunning sunset over Yanui Beach. So, my friend and I decided to paddle towards a small island that was visible in the foreground. As we approached the island, we noticed that it was a popular spot for kayaking tourists, with several kayaks parked in the water as people enjoyed the crystal clear waters and snorkeling opportunities. The area was teeming with vibrant fish and a few small corals, making it a beautiful and unique spot for us to explore.
After managing to get our kayak back into the water, we were ready to cool off with a refreshing swim. We paddled over to a nearby spot and anchored our kayak against the rocks before jumping into the cool, clear water.
As we swam around, we were amazed by the abundance of marine life that surrounded us. Schools of colorful fish swam by, and we even spotted a few sea turtles off in the distance.
As we made our way back to the kayak, we were reminded of the dangers that lurked beneath the surface of the water. The rocks were slippery and sharp, and we had to be extra careful as we navigated our way back to the kayak.
Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we slipped and fell when stepping on a particularly treacherous rock, leaving us with a few minor wounds and bruises.
We were relieved to see our kayak parked nearby, but we quickly realized that getting it back into the water would be a challenge. The rocks had been worn smooth by the constant pounding of the waves, making it difficult to get a good grip on the kayak and drag it into the sea.
To make matters worse, there were several tourists nearby who had witnessed our fall and were now watching us struggle to get the kayak back into the water. But thankfully, a kind-hearted group of foreign tourists to help us, and together we managed to drag the kayak down the rocks and into the sea.
Despite the minor mishap, we had a fantastic time exploring Yanui Beach and the surrounding areas. The beautiful scenery, crystal clear waters, and vibrant marine life were all incredible, and we felt lucky to have experienced it all.
Then we kayak back to the beach without waiting for the sunset as intended. Because it's almost 1 hour already since we rented a kayak. After a few minutes of paddling, we finally made it back to the beach. We docked our kayak and quickly returned the gear to the rental shop.
As we enjoyed the warm waters of Yanui Beach, we took the opportunity to snap some photos to capture the memories of our day together. We posed in front of the beautiful scenery, laughing and joking around as we tried to get the perfect shot.
It had been so long since we had all been able to travel together like this, and we wanted to make sure that we had something to remember this day by. The photos would serve as a reminder of the fun times we had shared and the beautiful sights we had seen.
After that, we rode to Patong to eat at a Thai BBQ restaurant. Despite getting caught in the rain on our way to the restaurant, we were excited to finally arrive at our favorite Thai BBQ restaurant in Patong. We quickly found a spot to park our motorbikes and hurried inside, still dripping wet from the rain. The smell of grilled meats filled the air, making our mouths water in anticipation of the delicious meal ahead.
Thai BBQ Restaurant is one of the most popular dining spots in Phuket, Thailand. It's not only frequented by locals but also by foreign tourists who are drawn to the inexpensive buffet that offers unlimited servings. The restaurant serves a variety of dishes that cater to everyone's taste, from cooked food to ready-to-eat snacks, pork, chicken, and seafood.
One of the highlights of the buffet is the big blue crab and big shrimp, which are either grilled on a charcoal stove or blanched in hot soup. The aroma of the seafood fills the air and entices everyone's taste buds. To complement the grilled shrimp, we ordered a papaya salad dish that perfectly complemented the seafood.
But what truly made the meal memorable was the seafood dipping sauce. It was so delicious that we couldn't help but ask for more. We ate and talked about old stories while enjoying the food, and before we knew it, time had flown by. We looked at the clock and realized it was already 9 p.m.
Reluctantly, we dispersed and headed home, feeling satisfied and content after a day full of adventures and good food. The Thai BBQ Restaurant had truly lived up to its reputation, and we knew we would be back soon.
Thank you for your support
