Exploring SECRET BAY – A Cliffside Retreat in Phuket 🌿📸

Hello everyone

Today, I’m taking you to SECRET BAY, a newly opened seaside café in the Kalim Beach area, not far from Patong Beach. This part of Phuket is known for its many cliffside cafés, offering breathtaking ocean views, making it a perfect spot to sit back and enjoy the scenery.

As always, I discovered this place through TikTok, which has become my go-to platform for finding hidden gems, whether it’s cafés, restaurants, or unique travel spots. So, of course, I had to check it out for myself!

Around noon, my husband and I set off for SECRET BAY, eager to experience this new café. The drive took us about 50 minutes, as we ran into some traffic in Patong, which is quite common in this area. By the time we arrived, it was already 1 PM, just in time for a relaxing afternoon by the sea.

As soon as we arrived, the friendly staff greeted us warmly and explained that we needed to order our drinks and food first before heading down to the seating area. After placing our order, I couldn’t wait to capture the stunning surroundings—everything was so beautiful that I didn’t even know where to start!

Excited by the breathtaking view, I decided to take my time, capturing photos little by little as I made my way down to the lower levels of the café. Every corner seemed picture-perfect, making it impossible to put my camera down!

One of the most unique features of SECRET BAY is the long wooden bridge that gently slopes downward, leading guests to the lower seating areas. Surrounded by lush greenery and tropical trees, walking along this bridge feels like stepping into a hidden paradise.

As I made my way down, I couldn’t help but admire the stunning ocean view peeking through the trees. The entire setting is designed to blend seamlessly with nature, creating a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere.

This bridge not only connects different levels of the café but also serves as a beautiful photo spot. Whether you’re walking down to find a seat or just taking in the surroundings, it’s impossible not to stop and capture the moment!

While I was still busy taking photos—completely mesmerized by the beauty around me—my matcha green tea arrived. But here at SECRET BAY, drinks, pastries, and food aren’t served in the usual way. Instead, they’re placed in small woven baskets and sent down via a pulley system, where a staff member receives them at the lower level. It was such a fun and creative touch!

Of course, I had to order my favorite matcha, and to my surprise, it was absolutely delicious! At first, I didn’t have high expectations for the food and drinks here since I had seen some reviews mentioning that the view was amazing, but the food was mediocre. However, I was pleasantly surprised—the matcha was rich and flavorful, and combined with the breathtaking view, it made the experience even more special.

For my dessert, I ordered a banoffee pie, and just like my matcha, it turned out to be absolutely delicious! The combination of creamy banana, rich caramel, and crunchy biscuit base made it a perfect treat to enjoy while soaking in the beautiful view.

At SECRET BAY, there are countless photo spots, each one more stunning than the last! Every corner is designed to be visually appealing, making it a paradise for those who love taking pictures.

Nowadays, with so much competition in the café and restaurant industry, businesses need to create unique selling points to stand out. Whether it’s through breathtaking views, creative concepts, or stylish décor, places like this have truly mastered the art of attracting visitors.

One of the most breathtaking parts of SECRET BAY is the area near the rocky shore. Walking down, I was met with an endless ocean view, with the waves gently crashing against the smooth boulders. The contrast of the deep blue sea, bright sky, and rugged coastline made it feel like a hidden paradise.

Sitting here, surrounded by nature and the soothing sound of the waves, was incredibly peaceful. The café has even set up some cozy seating areas among the rocks, allowing guests to enjoy the view up close while feeling connected to the raw beauty of the coastline.

Another unique feature is the decorative wing sculpture, which makes for a perfect photo spot with the ocean as a stunning backdrop. Whether you're looking for a place to relax, take beautiful photos, or simply appreciate the natural beauty of Phuket, this spot is absolutely worth the visit.

With a tire swing hanging from a nearby tree and scattered seating areas tucked among the rocks, it truly feels like a secret getaway. This hidden gem is the perfect place to escape from the crowds and just enjoy a moment of peace and tranquility by the sea.

Spending the afternoon at SECRET BAY was truly a refreshing experience. The combination of stunning ocean views, a peaceful atmosphere, and unique seating areas made it a perfect escape from the usual crowded beaches. I loved how this place blended nature, creativity, and relaxation, making it more than just a café—it felt like a hidden retreat by the sea.

From walking down the long wooden bridge, sipping on my delicious matcha, and finding cozy spots by the rocky shore, every moment here was memorable. Whether you come for the scenic views, the creative café experience, or just to enjoy the sound of the waves, SECRET BAY is definitely worth visiting at least once.
