After I got back from Tak Province three days ago, my house was a mess. So, I spent the past few days cleaning up. First, I had to deal with the fishbowl. It was all green and green with algae. I scrubbed that thing until it sparkled again.

Then, I went out to the garden. The flowers were struggling because of the stupid grass growing all over the place. I spent a good chunk of time pulling out weeds and making sure the flowers had room to breathe.

As the afternoon wore on, I turned my attention to the car, a task that proved to be an all-day affair. Buckets of soapy water, a hose, and a good deal of elbow grease were necessary to rid the vehicle of the grime acquired on the journey back.

By 5 p.m., I figured I deserved a break. I decided to hit up the night market. It's right in front of the Lotus Thalang Department Store. I like that market because there's a ton of tasty food. The only downside is that it's quite a trek from my place.

The air was filled with the sizzle of grills, the enticing scent of spices, and the chatter of hungry patrons. Colorful banners and twinkling lights adorned the stalls, creating a lively and inviting atmosphere. It was hard not to feel a sense of excitement as I navigated through the diverse food offerings.

Amidst the sea of food stalls, my eyes were on a mission, scanning for the one that boasted the precious macadamia nuts. The excitement bubbled up as I finally spotted the vendor with a variety of nuts on display. I approached the stall with the anticipation of a treasure hunter striking gold.

A large bag of macadamia nuts was soon in my hands, and a sense of triumph washed over me. "Expensive but worth it," I thought with a playful chuckle. Just as I was about to make my way home, the shop owner, a friendly face behind the counter, suggested I try some of their cashew nuts. Intrigued, I agreed. He laid out different types for me to taste, each more delicious than the last. It didn't take long for me to be won over, and with a grin, I added a small bag of cashews to my nut haul.
