Hello everyone!
Last weekend, my family and I spent a relaxing day at Blue Tree in Phuket🇹🇭, which hosts the lively Wansao Market every Saturday. The market has a relaxed vibe, with stalls offering everything from clothing 👗👕 and crafts 🎨 to delicious food 🍲 and refreshing beverages 🥤—a perfect weekend escape!
Blue Tree is an ideal spot for both relaxation 🧘♀️ and entertainment 🎉 for all ages. This expansive complex offers a variety of amenities, including an area where visitors can enjoy free exercise 🏋️ activities, making it a true one-stop destination for families.
At the heart of Blue Tree is its water activity center 💦, featuring an array of activities suited to every age group. The area is designed with artificial beaches 🏖️ and cozy cabanas by the lagoon 🛖, creating a tropical oasis filled with fun. From the water playground 🌊 and slip-and-fly slider 🛝 to the splash zone 💦, rock climbing 🧗, and zip-line 🧗♀️, the options for adventure are endless. There are also beach volleyball 🏐 courts, darts 🎯, sumo wrestling 🤼, beach tennis 🎾, and fitness zones, along with a kids club 🧸 and trampoline zone 🤸 to keep children engaged and active.
The Tree House is a unique 4-story beach club within Blue Tree, featuring a variety of food and beverage outlets 🍹🍕 and offering stunning views from its beautiful rooftop viewpoint 🌅. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, enjoy a drink, and take in the scenic surroundings.
As evening set in, the atmosphere became even more magical 🌅✨. The sprawling grounds and beautiful decorations at every corner made it a truly memorable experience.
For anyone planning to visit Blue Tree from the west coast of the island, such as Karon, Patong or Kamala, getting there by car or scooter is quite straightforward. Follow the signs to Surin Beach, then head toward Cherng Talay. You’ll see signs for Blue Tree, which is located near Bang Tao Beach. 🛵🚗
There are clear signs leading to the entrance, and the large parking area makes it easy to find a spot once you arrive.
Teenagers especially enjoy Blue Tree’s huge garden, where they can exercise and have fun. You’ll often see them rollerblading 🛼, skateboarding 🛹, and riding bikes 🚲 around the open space, making the most of the freedom and fresh air.
The Blue Tree Skate Park is a standout feature, designed by skaters for skaters 🛹. Its concept, “Created by skaters for skaters,” brings together a unified community where everyone, from curious beginners to seasoned pros, can enjoy the space together.
What makes Blue Tree Skate Park truly special is that it’s not just for skateboarding—it welcomes longboarding, surf skating 🌊, inline skating, and roller skating 🛼 too! It’s a vibrant spot where fans of all these styles can come together and share in the fun, all in one awesome field.
Blue Tree features 80,000 square meters of rubber forest 🌳, carefully designed into Tracks and Trails known as Forest Fit Trails. This expansive area offers about 5 kilometers of trails perfect for walking 🚶, running 🏃, and mountain biking 🚵. Along the way, you’ll also find outdoor exercise equipment, making it an ideal space for those who love staying active in nature. Best of all, access to this area is completely free, providing a wonderful opportunity for both locals and visitors to enjoy the fresh air while getting a workout!
From this spot, you can get a great view of the water park. Since it was late in the evening, the water park was closed, leaving the area peaceful and still.
After this little detour to show you the activity zone, it’s time to head back toward the heart of Blue Tree. Along the way, we passed the huge parking area, where finding a spot to park is never an issue!
We were welcomed by Blue Tree’s fountain Tuk-Tuk, a perfect spot for a selfie or a fun photo! 📸
We arrived right in the middle of a fitness session on the central stage. This stage is always lively, whether it’s hosting a Zumba fitness class 💃, a show, or a concert—it’s the place to be for nonstop entertainment!
Just past the central stage, we entered the Wansao Market. The market kicks off with a variety of clothing 👗👕, jewelry 💍, accessories 👜, toys 🧸, and more, creating a vibrant mix of items to explore.
Then, of course, we arrived at the food stalls—the highlight for my husband and son, whose eyes lit up, clearly connected straight to their stomachs! 🍲😄
At first, I was planning to get a Som Tam—one of my favorite dishes—but since I’d had a bit of a stomach ache, I decided to skip the spicy food this time.
Som Tam, or papaya salad, is a popular dish from northeastern Thailand, in the region known as Isaan. It combines shredded unripe papaya with a blend of lime, fish sauce, chili, peanuts, and sometimes dried shrimp, creating a spicy, tangy, and slightly sweet flavor that’s loved across Thailand and beyond.
I bought some battered fish and shrimp for my eldest son, who couldn’t join us at the market today.
My husband couldn’t resist the Japanese food truck, which had around 5-6 dishes to choose from. Since my younger son and I both love Japanese food, we ended up ordering for the whole family. The wait was a bit long, as this food truck is very popular, but it was worth it!
By the time we were served and finished eating, night had fully fallen, adding an extra charm to the already delightful atmosphere, now lit up with lights and filled with music. 🎶✨
As the night deepened, we felt the magic of Blue Tree and the Wansao Market all around us. It was more than just a day out—it was a chance to relax, explore, and make memories as a family. From the lively stalls and delicious food to the music and glowing lights, every part of the experience reminded us of the charm and energy of Phuket.
Thank you for joining me on this little adventure! If you enjoyed this post, don’t forget to reBlurt, follow for more stories, and leave a comment to share your thoughts. I’d love to hear from you! 💖✨
