It's A Cold And Gloomy Day

Our day is welcomed by a cold weather. When I wake up I was wondering why the morning was a bit colder today so I went out to check outside and what welcome my sight is the fog started covering the place. This is the reason why it's colder than the usual mornings that we have. It's been a while since we've experience a foggy morning so today I'm became a bit lazier because it's really cold outside. We didn't graze the goats outside because few minutes after the fog it started drizzling. There's no sunshine today so I and my kids just stayed inside the house and do some housechores. After finishing the house chores we lay on bed and watched YouTube videos. That's how our morning goes.

Nuestro día es recibido por un clima frío. Cuando me desperté me preguntaba por qué la mañana estaba un poco más fría hoy, así que salí a mirar afuera y qué bienvenida fue la niebla que comenzó a cubrir el lugar. Esta es la razón por la que hace más frío que las mañanas habituales que tenemos. Ha pasado un tiempo desde que experimentamos una mañana con niebla, así que hoy me he vuelto un poco más perezoso porque hace mucho frío afuera. No hicimos pastar a las cabras afuera porque pocos minutos después de la niebla empezó a lloviznar. Hoy no hay sol, así que mis hijos y yo nos quedamos dentro de la casa y hacemos algunas tareas domésticas. Después de terminar las tareas de la casa, nos acostamos en la cama y miramos videos de YouTube. Así transcurre nuestra mañana.

In the afternoon, we tried to take a nap but couldn't sleep because of the sound of the big trucks passing by. They are delivering some construction materials. The construction site is just few meters from the house and it started some months ago. It is said that it is for the TESDA (Technical Education and Skills Development Authority) buildings. Some of our neighbors have work there. Since it's just near the loud sounds of the trucks and other construction vehicles passing here can be heard. My sons would love watching those trucks especially my youngest.

Por la tarde intentamos tomar una siesta pero no pudimos dormir por el ruido de los grandes camiones que pasaban. Están entregando algunos materiales de construcción. La obra está a pocos metros de la casa y comenzó hace unos meses. Se dice que es para los edificios de TESDA (Autoridad de Desarrollo de Habilidades y Educación Técnica). Algunos de nuestros vecinos tienen trabajo allí. Dado que está cerca, se pueden escuchar los fuertes ruidos de los camiones y otros vehículos de construcción que pasan por aquí. A mis hijos les encantaría ver esos camiones, especialmente al más pequeño.

Before evening came, I cooked rice so that when my husband arrived we could eat immediately. It was past 6 PM when my husband came home. He pranked me that he wasn't able to get money from his boss today so I was a little sad and worry because we almost ran out of rice. When he asked me what we should do I just kept silent. He seemed notice my sad reaction so he told me that it's just a prank. My face lightened after hearing that what he said earlier is not true. He then handed me the viand that he bought. It's chicken franks sliced thinly coated with flour and breadcrumbs. Each stick costs $0.086. My husband bought 20 pieces of it from a newly opened store near his workplace. When I tasted it, it taste bland but when dip in sauce it taste delicious. In the two sauces that the vendor gave I like the mayoketchup sauce. Though they put chili on it the spiciness was just right. The mayoketchup was all consumed while there is still left from the sweet and spicy sauce. This is how my day ends. Today is not a tiring day but a relaxing one. I am hoping that tomorrow the sun will show up as I am planning to do the laundry.

Antes de que llegara la noche, cociné arroz para que cuando llegara mi marido pudiéramos comer inmediatamente. Eran más de las seis de la tarde cuando mi marido llegó a casa. Me hizo una broma diciendo que hoy no podía conseguir dinero de su jefe, así que estaba un poco triste y preocupada porque casi nos quedamos sin arroz. Cuando me preguntó qué debíamos hacer, simplemente guardé silencio. Pareció notar mi triste reacción y me dijo que era sólo una broma. Mi rostro se iluminó después de escuchar que lo que dijo antes no es cierto. Luego me entregó la vianda que compró. Son salchichas de pollo cortadas en rodajas finas rebozadas con harina y pan rallado. Cada barra cuesta $0,086. Mi marido compró 20 piezas en una tienda recién abierta cerca de su lugar de trabajo. Cuando lo probé, tenía un sabor suave, pero cuando lo mojé en salsa tiene un sabor delicioso. De las dos salsas que me dio el vendedor me gusta la salsa mayoketchup. Aunque le pusieron chile, el picante era perfecto. El mayoketchup se consumió todo mientras aún quedaba la salsa dulce y picante. Así termina mi día. Hoy no es un día agotador sino relajante. Espero que mañana salga el sol mientras planeo lavar la ropa.
