Still A Gloomy Day; Had A Long Walk Today

Today we still experience a gloomy weather. I'm feeling cold as soon as I woke up but it didn't stop me to get up and do my usual routine. Unlike yesterday, today I'm determined to finish some task but not the laundry since there's no sun appearing in the sky. Before I proceeded with my routines, I took a cup of coffee with a little coffee mate on it but a little sugar. So it taste bitter but creamier at the same time. I paired my coffee with the pancake that my husband bought. I miss eating pancakes so today I had finished two pieces of pancake. It was such a delicious food and drink to start my day. Having coffee lessened the coldness that I felt so I started getting with my list of chores. After two hours of moving around the house I went out to washed my face because I would be going out to buy rice and some things that I wanted to buy.

Hoy todavía vivimos un tiempo sombrío. Siento frío apenas me desperté pero eso no me impidió levantarme y hacer mi rutina habitual. A diferencia de ayer, hoy estoy decidido a terminar alguna tarea pero no lavar la ropa ya que no aparece el sol en el cielo. Antes de seguir con mis rutinas, me tomaba una taza de café con un poco de mate pero un poco de azúcar. Por eso tiene un sabor amargo pero más cremoso al mismo tiempo. Combiné mi café con el panqueque que compró mi esposo. Extraño comer panqueques, así que hoy había terminado dos trozos de panqueque. Fue una comida y bebida tan deliciosa para comenzar el día. Tomar café disminuyó el frío que sentía así que comencé a hacer mi lista de tareas. Después de dos horas de moverme por la casa salí a lavarme la cara porque saldría a comprar arroz y algunas cosas que quería comprar.

When I went out, I noticed the dark clouds up above the sky so I didn't forget to bring umbrella with me in case it would rain. I will be walking more than 2 kilometers today going to the store where I usually brought rice. I decided not to hail a tricycle since it was not a hot day so walking in a gloomy weather was okay because I won't get tired easily instead it made me enjoy the atmosphere and the view along the way.

I arrived to the rice store after 30 minutes or so. I didn't walk fast going in the store so it took time to arrived at the said place. While the rice was weighed I kept myself busy looking at the street. Though it's Friday, there are still lots of vehicles on the road unlike the other Fridays that I witness. It's maybe because many people are going to the market to prepare for the Ramadan. It is going to start very soon so they are getting ready especially on the foods that they will prepare.

Llegué a la tienda de arroz después de aproximadamente 30 minutos. No caminé rápido para entrar a la tienda, por lo que me tomó tiempo llegar a dicho lugar. Mientras pesaban el arroz yo me mantuve ocupado mirando la calle. Aunque es viernes, todavía hay muchos vehículos en la carretera a diferencia de los otros viernes que presencio. Quizás sea porque mucha gente va al mercado a prepararse para el Ramadán. Va a comenzar muy pronto así que se están preparando especialmente en los alimentos que prepararán.

After paying for the rice I started going back home. This time I still didn't hail a cab because the rice that I bought isn't very heavy and another thing is I just want to enjoy and see the locals along the way. Looking on every corner of the road there are lots of people buying some meat, fruit and vegetables. In the meat store that I passed by there are long lines waiting for their turn to buy cow's meat. On the chicken store I also saw some people buying and carrying huge plastics bags with lots of chicken on it. Wow everyone are so busy today. As you can see on the photos above, you'll see many kinds of fruits displayed. Fruit vendors will surely have lots of sales in the next following days because lot of people will surely buy. There are also lots of slice breads displayed in every bakery that I saw and some spread like peanut butter, durian and Nutella.

Después de pagar el arroz comencé a regresar a casa. Esta vez todavía no tomé un taxi porque el arroz que compré no es muy pesado y otra cosa es que solo quiero disfrutar y ver a los lugareños en el camino. En cada esquina de la carretera hay mucha gente comprando carne, frutas y verduras. En la carnicería por la que pasé hay largas colas esperando turno para comprar carne de vaca. En la pollería también vi a algunas personas comprando y cargando enormes bolsas de plástico con mucho pollo. Vaya, todos están muy ocupados hoy. Como puede ver en las fotos de arriba, verá muchos tipos de frutas expuestas. Los vendedores de frutas seguramente tendrán muchas ventas en los próximos días porque seguramente mucha gente comprará. También hay muchas rebanadas de pan expuestas en cada panadería que vi y algunas untadas como mantequilla de maní, durian y Nutella.

I passed by the 20 all items store so I went inside to look for some stuffs that I wanted to buy. I was looking for the things I needed in every shelves that I pass. The store was very crowded that time so I'm having a hard time passing through the way. It took me about 10 minutes before I could go out from the store. Some of the things that I wanted to buy isn't in the store so in the end I just buy the laundry powder and the pen which I will be using on the next days as I'm planning to continue learning some Arabic words. I already started some months ago in studying Arabic words and I learn few words already. I can also read few phrases so now I intended to increase my knowledge.

Passing the market while I'm on my way home I bought Ramen and pechay. I planned to cook it for our lunch. So when I went home I immediately cooked rice and ready the vegetables that I would cook after. It was almost 11:30 AM when I finished cooking the rice and our ramen noodles with pechay on it. My husband had also arrived that time so I prepared the table. He bought fried chicken today so we paired it with the noodles that I cook and with rice of course. Rice is always present in every meal.

Al pasar por el mercado de camino a casa compré ramen y pechay. Planeaba cocinarlo para nuestro almuerzo. Going to the market and going back home I was able to count my activity. Before going out it was more than 300 and when I went home it already reached to 9100 activity. I was near to getting 10k counts. Walking for more than 2 kilometers I achieved 8K activity points. Though it was a gloomy day I still get sweat a lot but I didn't get tired instead I felt that my body gets lighter after getting sweat. Yesterday I didn't get to exercise now I get to sweat. What a beautiful sweaty day this is. I'm happy for the result of this day. I didn't get lazy even if the weather is cold. That was an achievement for me.

Al ir al mercado y al regresar a casa pude contar mi actividad. Antes de salir eran más de 300 y cuando volví a casa ya llegaba a 9100 de actividad. Estuve cerca de conseguir 10k conteos. Caminando más de 2 kilómetros logré 8K puntos de actividad. Aunque era un día sombrío, todavía sudo mucho, pero no me cansé, sino que sentí que mi cuerpo se vuelve más liviano después de sudar. Ayer no pude hacer ejercicio ahora me pongo a sudar. Qué hermoso día sudoroso es este. Estoy feliz por el resultado de este día. No me da pereza incluso si hace frío. Eso fue un logro para mí.
