It's A Foggy Saturday // We Went Out Late In The Afternoon

Hello Blurt Lifestyle Community!

The day started the same. I woke up at 2:30 am but didn't get up immediately as I still felt very sleepy. I gave myself some more minutes before I finally get up and started cooking food. Then the rest of the early morning routine follows. After praying our morning prayer we got back to sleep. It was 9 am when we got up and do few morning routines. We couldn't go out at that time because it was raining outside. When it was almost 11 am my husband told us to take a bath. I was hesitant to do so because I felt really cold but the stare that my husband gave me made me went to the comfort room so fast and took a bath. I thought the water was cold but I was mistaken. As soon as the water touches my skin I couldn't help but pour more water in my body as it was very refreshing. I felt very good at that moment. Few minutes after we all took a bath, my husband and my eldest son went to mosque to pray while I and my youngest son prayed at home. After praying we went out of the house to checked on the goats.

I was surprised as soon as I went out of the house. Fogs were everywhere and it started covering the area. With the presence of the fogs the atmosphere felt very cold which made me shiver but at the same time made me very excited to witness how the fogs would cover the whole place. Minutes had passed, I spotted my husband and son going home from the mosque. My husband told us that we could stroll around and took pictures if I wanted to. Without any hesitation I hurriedly went inside the house and look for my pair of boots so that we could go out. I also asked my eldest son to carry a sack so that if there were falling branches we could pick those.

As we started strolling, the way was almost covered with the fogs making it hard for us to spot the end of the road but still we happily stroll around the place.

The lamp post was almost invisible from our sight. The fogs became thicker as minutes pass by. I also noticed a motorcycle which headed on our way but it stopped to take a video or picture of the fogs covering the place. On the opposite side of the road I saw a vehicle stopped. The driver went out and I saw him holding his phone and slowly turned around. Maybe he was also recording a video.

Going from one mahogany to another, I finally spotted some fallen branches. There were lots of those so I had to asked my eldest son to get more sacks so I could put the other branches to those. While waiting for him to came back I slowly put the small branches to the sack. In the middle of doing it my husband came and fetch us. He carried the sack full of the falling branches.

We didn't followed him immediately as we stopped from time to time to take photos of the scenery in front of us. We saw these lovely purple flowers blooming with some raindrops on petals. I had to capture more photos of these flowers but here I would only show these two photos.

This is how the morning till noon goes. It was full of fun and excitement especially when we were strolling in the area where there were thick fogs.

Went Out Late In The Afternoon

In the afternoon we went out late than the time that we supposed to go out to buy food to be prepared for the iftar. The reason was I was feeling lazy and it was raining outside too. I was scrolling down my phone when I didn't notice that I felt asleep while my phone was on my hand. I was having a good sleep and was awaken by my husband because it's prayer time and it's not allowed to sleep anymore. Before we went out we prayed Asr and headed towards the market. The way was so muddy and quite slippery too so we really had to be careful with our steps. When we reached the cemented road it started raining so we had to open the umbrella so that we won't get wet.

Things I bought

It didn't took us long to arrive at the market. Since we went out late we walk faster so it only took almost 15 minutes to reach our destination. We first went to the fish section. There were three fish vendors so I went to each stall to check what fishes they had. In the first and second stall I didn't see the sardine fish so I went to the last stall. Fortunately they had the fish that I wanted so I bought a kilo of it. Then I headed to the stall opposite to the fish stall that I went to to buy scallions, mayonnaise, ginger and shredded coconut. Our menu for tonight's iftar is the same with the other day which are fried fish and jackfruit cooked in coconut milk. We only spent few minutes at the market then we walked back home. But before we went to the intersection road going to our house we stopped to the bakery to buy three sliced bread.

As we walk going to our house, we talked some random things with my boys. We were chatting happily and cracking some jokes when I halted because I saw these white flowers blooming beautifully on the side of the road. It's my first time seeing it. It isn't very recognizable at first because the vines covered half of it but when the vines are moved to the other side to get a better view I noticed the tiny raindrops on its petals. What do you think of these flowers?

Fish Piaparan

When we arrived at home I didn't waste more time. I immediately started preparing the foods (jackfruit and fish) because it's almost 5 pm. Less than an hour it will be our iftar. The jackfruit isn't as many as yesterday so I only chopped few scallions to mix with it. I'm thinking what will I do with the left scallions? An idea popped on my mind. I decided to cook fish piaparan today. Piaparan is a Maranao dish that is made of (either chicken, beef or fish), shredded coconut, ginger, onion, bell pepper, scallions, garlic, salt, turmeric powder and seasoning granules. This is very tasty dish. The shredded coconut mixed with those spices is already enough to be a viand. This will be more tastier if it has chilli on it.

Dates

At 5:20 pm, my husband and the two boys went to the mosque. They would break their fast there and would pray after eating the given iftar. The iftar given to them in the mosque are bananas, orange, dates and a pack of rice, pancit and chicken. They hadn't consumed all that were given to them so they brought home those that aren't consume. I really love these dates they brought. It taste different from the dates that I had tasted before. We were very full and I'm so much thankful to Allah for all the blessings that we received today and to the people who prepared and gave iftar in the mosque. May Allah showers more blessings upon them.

This is how the day ends today. I hope you enjoy reading my blog today. See you on my future blogs. Good evening!

Greetings,
