This came as a shock to me when I found out through a little research.
Some scientists are saying our planet Earth might have six continents, not seven. They found hidden land under Iceland which links North America and Europe.
What that means is that the Earth's the plates are still moving, not fully split like we thought, which made us make the 7 continent divisions.
A small "microcontinent" was also found near Greenland. If this turns out to be true, I believe our maps and school lessons might need changes. A bright side of this is how it could also help find new energy sources like geothermal power.
So yes guys, the land under us is still shifting. Earth is never really still, and who knows what else we’ll discover soon? Maybe one day, we’ll have to rethink everything about continents
