Today i woke up feeling a little under the weather my throat felt scratchy and my head was pounding i could barely get out of bed but i know i have to go to uni tomorrow with assignments piling up and the lectures waiting i can’t afford to miss another day the weather outside is gloomy with dark clouds hanging over the city it looks like it's going to rain and the wind is picking up too it's the kind of weather that makes you want to stay in bed with a warm blanket and a cup of tea but life doesn’t stop for bad weather or illness i know i have to push through.

I have been thinking about how we can protect ourselves in crazy weather like this the weather can really take a toll on our health one moment it's sunny and warm and the next minute the sky is pouring down rain or the wind is blowing so hard it feels like it might knock you over wearing layers is always a good idea especially when it's this cold the chill in the air gets to your bones, and wearing a thick jacket or sweater can really help you feel more comfortable it's also important to keep yourself dry i know that when i’m out in the rain i feel more miserable if i get wet so having an umbrella or a waterproof jacket is essential.

It’s also important to stay hydrated especially when you're not feeling well the cold weather can make you feel even more dehydrated than usual so drinking water and warm liquids like soup or tea can really help soothe your body and give you the energy you need to get through the day my mom always says that a hot cup of ginger tea works wonders when you’re feeling sick it’s like a little comfort in a cup and really helps with any throat irritation.

When you're feeling under the weather, it’s also a good idea to get some rest but not overdo it if you rest too much, you might feel worse the next day and be even more tired sometimes the best way to get better is to take it easy and listen to your body, but still try to move around a little bit just so you don’t feel completely sluggish the weather might make you want to sleep the whole day away, but moving around even just a little bit can help you feel better.

I am also thinking about how i can protect myself tomorrow while i’m at uni it’s going to be a bit of a struggle to stay focused when the weather is like this and i'm not feeling my best but i know it’s important to stay active in class, keep my energy up, and push through i’ll try to stay warm and wear something cozy like a scarf or gloves to keep me from getting too cold.

Taking care of your health is all about balance sometimes we overdo it and don’t listen to our bodies when it tells us to rest, and sometimes we neglect the little things like staying hydrated or dressing appropriately for the weather it’s the small things that help you stay healthy and strong, even on days when the weather is crazy and your body doesn’t feel its best i’m hoping tomorrow’s classes go smoothly even though i’m not feeling great right now, i’ll do my best to get through the day but i think the weather could make things difficult so i’ll just have to be prepared.

I am going to make sure i take some medicine tonight and hopefully feel better in the morning that way i can make it through uni without feeling too terrible i’ll also have some snacks with me just in case i need a little pick-me-up during breaks the weather might make me feel tired and sluggish but i can get through it as long as i take care of myself and stay positive.
