I turned on my pc and decided to play gta vice city one of the most iconic games ever made the graphics might be old but the vibe is unmatched as soon as the game started i was greeted with that retro 80s soundtrack that just makes you feel like you’re in another era.
The game is set in a fictional city inspired by miami it’s full of bright neon lights palm trees and beaches it’s the kind of place where you can get lost in the scenery even though it’s all virtual the main character tommy vercetti is such a classic he’s a tough guy with a mission to build his own criminal empire.
I spent hours driving around in fancy cars from sports cars to old school sedans there’s this sense of freedom in the game you can do missions or just roam around causing chaos if you want the missions themselves are pretty intense ranging from simple delivery tasks to full on shootouts.
One of my favorite parts is the soundtrack every radio station in the game has this nostalgic 80s music playing it makes cruising around the city so much more enjoyable i also love the fact that you can own properties in the game it feels like you’re really building something.
The dialogue in the game is hilarious too some of the characters you meet are so over the top it’s impossible not to laugh the game really captures that gangster movie feel but in a fun and lighthearted way.
Sometimes i just park a car by the beach and watch the virtual sunset it’s weirdly relaxing and even though it’s a game it feels like a mini vacation whenever i play it reminds me why gta vice city is such a timeless classic.
Its amazing how a game from the early 2000s can still bring so much joy every time i play it i discover something new whether its a hidden alley or a funny easter egg i can’t wait to play it again tomorrow.
