A beautiful sunny morning here on Beaver Creek.
No beavers out today. We might take a walk up the river to visit the old Beaver Lodge and see if we can drop in to visit some old friends. Mr and Mrs Beaver.
They might be out fishing today. Before the river freezes over.
Maybe we’ll be lucky and they will have some fresh salmon drying on the racks. Nothing like smoked salmon with capers and cream cheese on a toasted sesame seed bagel.
Lox Bagels they call them down in New York.
Mr Beaver is usually out hunting this time of year. Making sure he has enough food to get him and the Mrs and all the little Beaver kids through the winter.
One year they travelled down to New York City for Thanksgiving, Manhattan Island and they got stuck down there in an Ice Storm. When they came back up North their lodge was completely frozen over. It took them many days to chop through the ice to get back into their little lodge.
