প্রকৃতির মাঝে লুকিয়ে থাকা এই অনিন্দ্যসুন্দর ফুলগুলো আমাদের চোখের আরাম ও মনকে প্রশান্তি দেয়, যা প্রকৃতির প্রতি ভালোবাসা বাড়িয়ে তোলে।
Banana cultivation was once limited to traditional methods in our country. But now the cultivation of improved varieties of banana is becoming popular. Cultivation of single-shouldered bananas in particular has become a topic of discussion among farmers.
Bananas of this variety are not only beautiful to look at, but also very sweet to eat. A mature shoulder can have about 300 to 350 calluses, which makes it more attractive. Such large banana shoulders were not commonly seen in our area, but now many farmers are becoming interested in its cultivation.
The specialty of advanced varieties of bananas is that they grow quickly and have relatively high disease resistance. As a result it is becoming profitable for the farmers. Due to the high demand of this variety of banana in the market, farmers are getting good prices.

কলার চাষ আমাদের দেশে একসময় ঐতিহ্যগত পদ্ধতিতে সীমাবদ্ধ ছিল। কিন্তু বর্তমানে উন্নত জাতের কলা চাষ জনপ্রিয় হয়ে উঠছে। বিশেষ করে এক কাঁধি কলার চাষ চাষিদের মধ্যে আলোচনার বিষয় হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে।
এ জাতের কলাগুলো শুধু দেখতে সুন্দরই নয়, বরং খেতেও দারুণ মিষ্টি। একটি পূর্ণবয়স্ক কাঁধিতে প্রায় ৩০০ থেকে ৩৫০টি কলা থাকতে পারে, যা একে আরও আকর্ষণীয় করে তোলে। এমন বড় কলার কাঁধি সাধারণত আমাদের এলাকায় দেখা যেত না, তবে এখন অনেক চাষি এর চাষে আগ্রহী হয়ে উঠছেন।
উন্নত জাতের কলার বিশেষত্ব হলো, এগুলো দ্রুত বেড়ে ওঠে এবং রোগ প্রতিরোধ ক্ষমতাও তুলনামূলক বেশি। ফলে কৃষকদের জন্য এটি লাভজনক হয়ে উঠছে। বাজারে এ জাতের কলার চাহিদা বেশি থাকায় চাষিরা ভালো মূল্য পাচ্ছেন।

The male flower (Tassel) of the corn plant grows on the top of the plant, which produces pollen. This pollen is blown by the wind and falls on the female flower (Silk) below, resulting in fertilization. The better this process is done, the better and fuller the corn kernels.

ভুট্টা হলো বিশ্বের অন্যতম জনপ্রিয় শস্য, যা খাদ্য, পশুখাদ্য ও শিল্পজাত পণ্য তৈরিতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। ভুট্টা গাছের বৃদ্ধির একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ধাপ হলো ফুল ফোটা। যখন ভুট্টা গাছে ফুল আসে, তখন গাছের স্বাস্থ্যের ওপর ভিত্তি করে একটি বা দুইটি ভুট্টার কাঁধি (কর্ন) গঠিত হয়।
ভুট্টা গাছের পুরুষ ফুল (Tassel) গাছের উপরের দিকে জন্মায়, যা পরাগ তৈরি করে। এই পরাগ বাতাসের মাধ্যমে নিচের দিকে থাকা স্ত্রী ফুল (Silk)-এর ওপর পড়ে, যার ফলে নিষেক ঘটে। এই প্রক্রিয়া যত ভালোভাবে সম্পন্ন হয়, ভুট্টার কাঁধির দানা তত ভালো ও পরিপূর্ণ হয়।
একটি স্বাস্থ্যবান ভুট্টা গাছের ফুল সাধারণত বড় এবং ঘন হয়ে থাকে। এটি পরাগ উৎপাদন বেশি করতে সক্ষম, ফলে নিষেক ভালো হয় এবং ভুট্টার কাঁধিও বড় হয়। চাষিরা যদি লক্ষ্য করেন যে গাছের ফুল ছোট বা দুর্বল, তবে গাছের পুষ্টি ও সঠিক পরিচর্যার দিকে মনোযোগ দেওয়া উচিত।

গমের শীষ প্রকৃতির এক অনন্য সৃষ্টি, যা ঋতুর পরিবর্তনের সাথে সাথে সৌন্দর্যের এক নতুন মাত্রা যোগ করে। বসন্তের আগমনে গম ক্ষেতজুড়ে যখন সবুজাভ আভা দেখা যায়, তখন ধীরে ধীরে গমের শীষ গঠিত হতে শুরু করে। প্রতিটি গমের গাছ থেকে নির্দিষ্ট সময়ে শীষ বের হয় এবং তার মধ্যেই গমের দানা ধীরে ধীরে পূর্ণতা লাভ করে।

ভুট্টা শুধু আমাদের খাদ্য চাহিদাই মেটায় না, এটি পশুখাদ্য, জ্বালানি এবং শিল্পকারখানায়ও ব্যবহৃত হয়। সঠিক পরিচর্যার মাধ্যমে ভুট্টার উৎপাদন আরও বৃদ্ধি করা সম্ভব। তাই, কৃষকদের উচিত উন্নত প্রযুক্তি ও পদ্ধতি অনুসরণ করে ভুট্টা চাষ করা, যাতে ফলন আরও ভালো হয় এবং কৃষি অর্থনীতিতে ইতিবাচক পরিবর্তন আসে।
