Hello Splinterlands Gladiators! Our guild has just concluded another brawl, scoring 82 of 168 for fifth place. Each participating member earned 5,300 Merits and 71 SPS. I contributed 18 points from 6 wins out of 8. My performance this time is above average and I'm pleased to contribute in our brawl.
Gladius Cases
I only have a little over 5000 merits so I can only afford two Gladius cases this time.
Each Gladius case contain five cards with one guaranteed rare or higher. I'm a bit lucky this time having pulled two epics, one rare and one gold foil common.
Battles
I was in a fray where all cards are allowed so I fought some battles against the Untamed and Dice sets.
Battle 1 - Flagulon Reine dominates the opponent.
In this battle, the ruleset included Briar Patch and my opponent used Ilthain as a summoner. This means that my melee and ranged damage dealers will suffer from Thorns and Return Fire. Only magic damage is viable in this battle without any drawback. My magic damage dealer is Flagulon Reine, the legendary Gladiator water card. She deals 2 magic damage, has Blast and Bloodlust abilities. This makes her deadly since my opponent used two zero mana cards that will be eliminated by Blast damage and will trigger Reine's Bloodlust ability.
Battle 2 - Fina the Flame Empress
Easily one of my favorite Gladiator cards in my deck. My Fina is level 2 and she is very deadly. She deals 5 melee damage (buffed by Tarsa), has Snipe, Piercing and Bloodlust abilities. She easily one shot the opponent backline while triggering her Bloodlust.
Battle 3 - Olivia the Brook
This battle's rulesets includes Earthquake. I used all Flying units except for Olivia the Brook. I was hoping she would copy the Flying ability from the opponent and she didn't disappoint. I could have used other Flying units but Olivia is too fun a unit to be benched.
Battle 4 - Byzantine Kitty
My opponent has one of the best if not the best summoner in the game, Byzantine Kitty. The cute cat gives all units +2 speed and True Strike. She also heals the tank. My opponent's tank has Agor Longtail who has Taunt so it works well with the summoner who heals it. However, my damage dealers did their job and reduced Agor's health to zero. Once the enemy tank was gone, his other units followed.
Final Thoughts
Guild Brawls is a fun battle where you do battle with your guild against others. The goal is to score as many wins and the prize are tokens including SPS. This gives players opportunity to further improve their deck with the Gladiator cards.
If you are not a member of a guild yet then join one immediately so you can participate in Brawls.
