David's Tea House is a popular restaurant in our country that serves Chinese cuisine. Though it's popular, I haven't eaten there yet because I usually prefer Japanese food. David's also don't have too many branches in malls where I usually go to and there are a lot of competing restaurants like Din Tai Fung and Lugang serving Chinese food. So when we were in Tomas Morato in Quezon City where there are a lot of restaurants and food choices, I decided to try David's.
night in Tomas Morato Street
The branch in Tomas Morato is a bit small. It only has ten tables in the first floor and less in the second floor.
Every David's Tea House is marked by the familiar colors of red and yellow. Another customary design are red lanterns hung on the ceiling.
The menu is the usual that can be found in Chinese restaurants: dimsum, noodles and rice toppings.
I have been craving for Hainanese Chicken rice meal dipped in ginger-oil sauce ever since @curamax posted his Kampong Chicken Rice at Seah Street's Zwee Kee Restaurant experience. However it's pretty odd and disappointing that they don't serve it so I ordered Soyed Chicken rice instead. I also ordered some dumplings on the side.

While the food was good and the experience was new, I can't say that it's better than other Chinese restaurants. I should probably try other food on their menu next time. On the other hand, my cravings for Hainanese Chicken was still not satisfied so I'll be on the lookout for it this week.
There were seven of us and our meal cost around Php 2,500. It's a lot cheaper compared to Din Tai Fung which serves at around Php 400-500 per order.
Before we went home, we dropped by Happy Lemon for drinks and dessert.
Great post Sir
