Hello everyone! This is my entry to @shawnnft February 2025 Eating Out Challenge. Ever since it was announce, I already had in mind to eat at Din Tai Fung. Yesterday, February 16, we headed out to SM North EDSA celebrate Valentine's Day and also stroll around the mall.

It was lunch time and the place is already packed. The set-up of the restaurant is nice as you can see the staff preparing the meal in a see through glass.

Din Tai Fung serves Chinese food and is famous for their delicious Xiao Long Bao. It's a dumpling with a bit of hot broth inside. You have to be careful when eating it because it might burn your mouth. We usually cool it by dipping in a mixture of vinegar, soy and ginger sauce.

We ordered fried rice and some spicy dumplings. Of course, this is a staple and must-have if you're eating Chinese food.

The chicken chops is particularly good. How can a simple fried chicken taste so delicious? It must some special breading.

We also had noodles with dumplings. The vinegar/soy/ginger concoction also works for this dumpling.

Of course, we sampled some Xiao Long Bao. They also had a dessert version which had chocolate inside.

The meal is a bit costly that's why we only eat here on special occasions. There were six of us and we spent around six thousand pesos or over USD 100 for the meal. After this we walked around the mall a bit and had dessert.

Dessert

We were not done yet for the day. After walking around the mall, we decided to try dessert at Paris Baguette. It's a new coffee shop so it's not as packed as a Starbucks.

We had some sweets and I paired it with black coffee. The bitter coffee is great with the sweet pastries. The place is nice to hang out and rest in when you get tired from strolling. After that, we spent some more time going around the mall.
