Hello Splinterlands Summoners! Today I will continue to share some fun battles with the new reward cards. The reward cards are great and once properly upgraded will find a slot in your deck. Here are some battles featuring my favorite cards Commander Slade and Halfling Refugee. I will also show battles featuring epic cards with debuff to show their utility in battles.
Battle 1: Commander Slade and Halfling Refugee
Commander Slade has become my main tank in the Water Splinter. At level 4 his stats and abilities are great. He deals huge melee damage, has great speed and defense. His abilities also help in his defense while debuffing the enemy tank. In this battle, the powerful max level Uriel was left with 1 melee attack.
Halfling Refugee at 1 mana and 6 health is great at guarding the back against sneak attackers but wasn't effective in this battle. I also use the Halfling Refugee as a frontline tank in low mana battles. I can't wait to upgrade hit to level 2 where he gets the Heal ability. Although he has the Weary Debuff, this only affects him and not the whole team so I use him whenever possible.
Battle 2: Shock Trooper
Shock Trooper can deal huge magic damage at level 1. On the other hand, there is a drawback since it has the Electrified Debuff. This will hurt your own team each round. I'm hesitant to use him because of this debuff but there is one ruleset where I can use him without any doubts.
This is a low mana battle with Back to Basics ruleset. This means that the Electrified Debuff will not work. On the other hand, I get the full benefit of his 4 magic damage. This is a low mana battle and so my strategy was to have high damage dealers in the back. I used the Halfling Refugee as my frontline tank. Here I get the benefits of his stats but not punished by the Weary Debuff so this ruleset is really ideal for both of these cards.
Battle 3: Khazi Conjurer
The Khazi Conjurer, just like the Shock Trooper above deals huge damage in exchange for a debuff. This time the Incendiary Debuff only hurts him and the one beside him. This debuff can be exploited by using a unit with Martyr ability as I will show in the battle.
In this battle, I placed the Khazi Conjurer in the last position. Beside him is the Firecaller with the Martyr ability. Once both unit dies the one beside the Firecaller will be buffed by her Martyr ability.
Conclusion
The new Rebellion Reward Cards offer excitement and potential new strategies in the game with their abilities and debuffs. With the right strategy, we can even use their debuff to our advantage. This is what makes Splinterlands a fun and engaging game.
Thank you for reading and have fun playing Splinterlands!
