Hello Splinterlands Summoners! Today I'll share one of my favorite strategies. A few days ago, I shared my favorite combo in this post. There are other teams and combos that I like to use depending on the ruleset. This makes every battle in Splinterlands fun and interesting.

Night Reaper in Earthquake Rulesets

The Night Reaper is a Dragon Epic Reward card.

My Night Reaper is at level 3 and can deal 3 magic damage, has four speed, one armor and 10 health making it a viable tank. It's abilities are also great. It can fly and has The Reflection Shield ability making it immune to Blast damage and Magic Reflect. It also has the new ability, Wingbreak. Wingbreak targets flying units regardless of position and deals +2 damage to flying units. This makes the Night Reaper an ideal unit in Earthquake ruleset where the enemy will also likely to use flying units.

In this battle, one of the rulesets is Earthquake and the mana allowed is fifty one making an ideal battle for the Night Reaper who need eleven mana in battle. I chose the Cursed Windeku in first position because of its healing ability. On second position, I picked the Night Reaper in case the enemy has a unit with Blast ability. In the third position, I picked Usut who can also fly. In the fourth and sixth position I chose two flying units with no attack but they are flanked by a unit with Weapons Training ability. This allowed them to deal magic damage.

My opponent's team is composed of Dragon/Earth featuring a Gladiator card, level 3 Quora, a level 1 Night Reaper and a Chaos Dragon who has the Blast ability.

The battle showed how devastating Night Reaper can be against flying units as it deals 5 magic damage due to his Wingbreak ability. It also repelled the Blast damage from the Chaos Dragon while my team and the Earthquake ruleset dealt damage to the enemy team. I won this battle rather easily.

Final Thoughts

Each battle in Splinterlands can be different because of the rulesets. Players need to figure out the optimal teams and units for each ruleset. Having the correct strategy is the way to win battles. Having the stronger cards is not enough, the optimal units and teams that synergize with each other in the given ruleset will win the battle.
