Hello Splinterlands Summoners! Our guild concluded another brawl. I spent some merits for Gladius cases, added to my Gladiator card collection and upgraded a card. Today I'll be sharing our results and the cards I got.

Brawl Performance

Our guild, Immortal Gods 4, did well again ranking third and earning one hundred twelve crowns.

My personal contribution was 50%, winning four battles out of eight. Each guild member who participated in the brawl earned 5,800 merits and 86 SPS. I'm grateful to my guild mates for performing well.

Guild Store

I bought five Gladius cases this time. Each Gladius case contains five cards with one guaranteed rare or higher. I've been hoping to pull a legendary card, particularly Tania Blayde who is still missing from my collection.

Gladius Case Opening

I have twenty five new Gladiator cards added to my collection. Unfortunately, no legendary card was among them. I did get epic cards though. Both were Edith Emberstar, one regular and one gold foil.

Edith Emberstar is a Water splinter ranged damage dealer. At level one, she deals a huge damage of four plus she has three speed and seven health.

Upgrading Cards

I was able to upgrade my Edith Emberstar to level three. She gains a great support ability, Cleanse. I mostly use cards with Cleanse ability in Noxious Fumes ruleset and this is a great ability to have specially in Survival Mode where it can help sustain units.

Battle Against Bronze Dragon

Today's featured battle is against Bronze Dragon!? I'm a subscriber to his channel watch some of his videos specially about Splinterlands. His team is composed of hard hitters but let's get to my team composition first.

Ruleset

No special ruleset but this is a high mana battle. In these battles I usually pick Dragon/Light or Water. However, I'd like to use Quora whenever I can as she is one of my strongest Gladiator cards.

My Team

Obsidian (summoner)

Obsidian provides +1 magic to my team. Whenever I go green (Earth), I mostly pick her as my summoner.

Quillion Legionary (tank)

The new Rebellion reward card which I now use as my tank. The Quillion Legionary replaced some of the Earth tanks I frequently use. It's great against magic and melee teams having Thorns and Void abilities.

Quora Towershead (second position)

I placed Quora in second position, ready to take up tank duties if my main tank gets eliminated. Quora is an epic card but she is as strong as the legendary cards. She has dual attack of both melee and magic, has the Heal ability to sustain her and of course the Bloodlust ability common to all Gladiator cards.

Regal Peryton (third position)

The Regal Peryton can deal three magic damage and has great speed. It's a card that I use even as a tank in low mana battles because it has decent health and high speed.

Goblin Psychic (fourth position)

The Goblin Psychic can also deal three magic damage but it also has the Tank Heal ability to sustain my tank and Affliction to prevent the enemy tank from healing.

Spirit Hoarder (fifth position)

The Spirit Hoarder deals two magic damage and has the Triage ability which I use in combo with my sixth card.

Mycelic Slipspawn (sixth position)

The Mycelic Slipspawn deals three magic damage and has eleven health. It has the Taunt ability to draw enemy attack so it works well with units with the Triage ability like the Spirit Hoarder.

The Opponent Team

Bronze Dragon's team is composed of heavy hitters. He picked the Dragon Splinter for high mana battle. In the tank position he has the legendary Dragon, Rage. It's a great card against magic teams because it has the Void ability while dealing a huge amount of damage itself. In second position he has Arkemis the Bear. It's a strong card but can't do damage yet. It will serve as his second tank once his Rage gets eliminated. In third he has a card that I've been wanting to have for a long time, Tatiana Blayde. She is also a great damage dealer having both ranged and melee damage. In fourth he's got the Void Dragon, another unit that's great against magic teams. In fifth position, he also has the Goblin Psychic and in sixth he has the legendary Dr. Blight. True to his name, this card is strong having both Affliction and Poison abilities.

The Battle

Thanks to my Mycelic Slipspawn, it drew attacks as well as Affliction and Poison from the enemy team while my Quillion Legionary was being sustained by my healer. All the while, my damage dealers and Quora were eliminating the enemy team. Quora's Bloodlust ability got triggered a number of times making her more powerful each time. In the end, only my Quillion Legionary was defeated while the rest of my team survived. If this were a Survival Mode battle then I'd be grinning from ear to ear.
